Her husband did! He's not willing to relenquish his title though. he wants it back! That's why he serves her night and day!

I feel like I'm watching a completely different drama than everyone else. I have no idea what you're talking about, as usual. What the heck is going on with me? I think that I'll just have to stop reading this message board. I know nothing of a secret, or a scene in a restaurant, or anything!

I think that I'll just have to stop reading this message board. I know nothing of a secret, or a scene in a restaurant, or anything! Lucy, did you see Hae-in's mother and Nara at the restaurant? They had BBQ, and Hae-in's mother had annoyed thoughts which we heard-the water is right in front of her, can't she pour it? And Hae-in's mother ended up cooking the meat, and looked annoyed about something (wish someone could tell me what). Then when they left, Nara noticed her brother-in-law was the car parker. The secret is probably about the parentage of Nara's son, unless we're imagining it-but I think the writer is giving clues on purpose. Don't give up! I still sometimes get confused between this and Farewell to Tears, but it's getting easier to sort out.

Oooohhhhh! Yes, I did see that! I thought the restaurant in question was the noodle restaurant that Sukhyun's aunt works at. I am very confused these days! Seems like both the dramas I'm watching (this one and My Rosy Life) involve Home Shopping Networks and rampant marital infidelity, and they started at about the same time, so it's hard to keep track. However, I haven't yet picked up on any clues about Nara's son. I guess I have to be hit over the head with whatever it is they're hinting at! Thanks for your support and coaching, ginnycat. Oh, P.S. I think she's annoyed because of Nara's attitude. N keeps acting haughty and making little digs about how great her son is yet not saying anything nice about Hae-in. I don't know why she wouldn't, because she clearly wants Hae-in for her daughter-in-law--but why, since Hae-in doesn't come from a rich family? Hmm. And she also acts like a princess, which you obviously understand from Hae-in's mom's funny comments. So it's not easy to like Nara, and it's easy to be annoyed by her. Maybe there's something deeper going on, but I wouldn't know!

I'm finding Nara to be a bit worse than our good ol' ScreechMom from MD/MS. Although SM was terrible, Nara seems to be even more cold-blooded. What do you guys think?

To me, Nara is a lot more believable than was Screech Mom, who came off all too often behaving like a cartoon character. Screech Mom was ignorant, loud, and shallow – and just plain annoying!
Nara, though, is cold, ruthless, and calculating. Like Screech Mom, money and prestige is all that matters to her. But, unlike Screech Mom, Nara is a woman who knows how to get it. She’s the kind of woman who would have made J.R. Ewing proud.
No, she’s hardly the kind of woman I’d want to marry, but as a character, I actually kinda like her!

I'm reserving judgement on Nara until I know the secret hold she has over her SIL. If it shows her up as cruel, then disliking her will be justified. So far, Ki-woong's mother is fairly sympathetic (except for tossing out her daughter's design projects), and Nara treats her badly, so Nara is half-bad to me already. I still enjoy watching her, tho.

Wow.. would nara be mad if she found out that her husband is wasting her money on tips and such.... So, nara is well aware of the grudge that minsook has against her. Why haven't they tried to reconcile then? Make things better for everyone? What's up with secrets being a motif in these dramas. No good can come of it!

I got to thinking: with Jang-nam and Suk-hyun getting closer and closer, it's possible they get married. Nara would probably then be the "Queen Mean" of all mean MIL's, even outdoing the one in "To Be With You".

Oh that naggy, whiny-voiced chick from MSMD? Yeah, that lady was over-the-top. Nara is a more sophisticated, and vicious woman. I highly doubt she'll even let them get married!

If Jong-nam is sort of adopted by Nara's SIL, there will be some fireworks about a marriage. Of course, Jae-ok is a younger child and a woman, so she won't have all that much power, and her mother won't approve, but still Jong-nam will have a champion. Or two, with Ki-woong, maybe.

Nara is unbelievable! She's taking credit for Suk-hyun's supposed attentions to his aunt,Yes I told him to be more attentive, heh, heh. What a witch! And she diminished her son in the process of trying to make herself look good. Is she feeling insecure with her MIL? I don't even care how she feels, hope she gets exposed for all her secrets.

Ginnycat, if you think that's mean, wait until you see upcoming episodes. The woman is a positive viper. She rather enjoys crushing sweeter, more kindly people. I'm thinking they've got the subtitling wrong because I think she's actually saying, "You ARE the weakest link! Good-bye!"
