I would gladly recap anything I'd actually seen, lol, Lucy la Luce. If I could recap the episodes without seeing them, I wouldn't have to get all upset about my TV not getting the reception.. I think I may have to make up my own ending to this one, anyway, the way it's going... Bo

OK, I'm assuming it starts with the couple in separate cells, with other prisoners. Y. is being smacked around by 4 other women. Wife comes by and scolds her, then the women scold her as a lowlife, but what's their offense? They don't look that respectable to me. Wife asks to speak to both of them before deciding to charge them. She scolds. Husband goes to his knees and says "I'm sorry" a lot and says he loves only her.
Y. runs back to her cell with a stricken expression. Wife doesn't charge them. Y is home in bed, won't answer Soon'ie's knock. Later, (next day?), Soonie comes with custodian to let her in. Soonie makes her get up. They go on a trip to the beach. Y. gets a great hotel room with views of ocean on all sides. They dress up to go clubbing, (S packed from Y's closet) S. drinks a lot, tries to pick up a group of 3 guys, Y. won't let her. They go dancing, have a great time, leave the 3 clingy guys and run to the beach, sit and listen to the surf. S. tells Y. about her cancer, and Y. breaks down, crying and yelling in disbelief and sorrow.
Back home, Y. goes to doctor and begs him to save S., whatever it costs. S. gets scolded by MIL for being out so long (sleeping out-they think she has a lover) when her child is sick. Child is better so they go to pick her up from school. (Younger child insisted older one attend school.) They go to amusement park, have fun but run into husband with Mija and son. M. is peevish when husband goes to talk to his kids. He gives them some money for dinner and returns to Mija and son. Son looks bewildered.
Father asks girlfriend to find a new husband for S., since girlfriend knows so many people. (Girlfriend is also on Jujube Tree, looking very different w/o lipstick and with long hair in bun)
While they were drinking, they reminisced. S. said she thought Y. was mentally slow, because she wet the bed til she was 10. And S. would throw her out of the house afterwards. Their mother had run away, so S. was the caretaker. Y. found the mother's address and told S. to go see her. S. said no, once she had gone to find her, when she was young, like 11?. Mother gave her 20 cents and said go away.

Awwww, Ginny, it's breaking my heart!! Especially the 20 cents thing. (I know, I know, I shouldn't have read it yet...)
But one thing. "Girlfriend is also on Jujube Tree"? Is that S & Y's dad's girlfriend? Is the J-Tree a cafe or something?

Oh, heavens. I missed a lot! I am sorry I missed Young-ie's reaction to the terrible news. Isn't Jujube Tree another show? I haven't seen it. I think the dad's girlfriend is nice looking but that she is a little older than she pretends to be. (meow) Their mother is alive!?? I thought she died! Maybe that's because sometimes in the K-dramas people say someone has "left" when what they mean is "died." Bo, kidding aside, thanks for starting the thread. Yes, I think you may have to make up your own ending.* Ginny, thanks for saving the bacon for me. *How's this one: Soonie is near death but has the operation and they are able to cure her. She keeps all the money and the house, which she sells, and she and Young-ie move to Jeju Island with the girls, where they live happily ever after with the ideal husbands of their choice (S and Y, I mean). Soonie gets to live a life of leisure but continues to drive hard bargains daily with the seafood ajummas on the wharf, just for old times' sake. The older daughter blossoms into a relatively smart and responsible girl, and the younger one is able to enjoy what's left of her childhood. The father and his girlfriend split up, and he has to move in with Miss-a Bong. His mother, too, and her voice gets even screechier with age. He loses his job because of his bad character, and he lives out his life regretting how he treated Soonie. I don't think that's going to happen, though.

You're welcome, Lucy! Jujube Tree is on episode 700+. I started a thread in the Other Shows part, but I guess noone else watches. I only see it by accident. Father from My Precious Child is on it, too. I like your ending. Happiness should be portioned out with justice in mind.
