And that was really sweet how Sung-moon arranged the surprise for Soonie at the War of the Roses. It's not War of Roses. Go check the discussion board on Whining about the Drama Title. The correct version would be not 'War of Roses' but 'Rosy Life Cafe'. Keep watching and see how important the symbol turns out to be. Thanks for clearing that up.

Does anybody know how the actress that played Soonie is doing? Last I had seen anybody post here, she had entered the hopital for exhaustion (at least according to the press) after the divorce, so I wondered if she was alright.

I'm pretty sure all that happened *before* she started filming "Rosy Life," so as far as I know, she's fine now.
I saw her on a Korean TV commercial a few weeks back (on the SBS network). Can't remember what product she was promoting, but she really looked terrific!

Thanks to the success of the drama, Soonie or Choi Jin-shil in real life has become a wonderful example of successful comeback.
Before the drama, her image was so badly tarnished by her real life - husband who beats her up, involvement of policy, extramarital affair etc - that nobody thought she could start anew.
The desperation you see in Soonie partly stems from the real-life desperation of her struggling to re-gain her place back in TV.
Last I heard, she starred on a vitamin commercial with her 'husband' of this drama and is resting for a while.

She is so cute. Those rounded cheeks and sunny smile are like a little girl's. I would like to see her in something else when this is over, so I can feel better. Like when the dementia-stricken grandma in "One Million Roses" turned up in "Attic Room Cat" none the worse for wear; it made me happy.

When I was a kid, I used to think that once these characters in tv died, we wouldn't see them again. And then when they were "resurrected" it was so shocking!

What an absolutely excellent actress she is, but I want to feel better *myself* when I see her as a different character, in a more cheerful, positive role!

Real or fake what? Magazine? Boy would I like to have a fan magazine for every show I've seen. Even if I couldn't read it, I'd like the pictures of my favorites. Are there such magazines? at a Korean Amazon or something?

I found that on the KBS website along with the picture I put on the "Farwell to Sorrow" thread under "Noodle factory shingle."
