Last night was Episode 50. Anybody know how many episodes there are? I'm going to be out of the country the next two weeks and have my VCR cranked up to tape from 7:50 until 9:00 the next two Mondays and Tuesdays. It seems that a lot of themes are coming together and getting resolved, so maybe we're near the end.
Interesting revelation last night about Sungmi when Mrs. Kang asked her if she had ever been married. So Sungmi had also left a child behind, just like Mrs. Kang, and yet Sungmi was so scornful of Mrs. Kang for leaving them.
I can't help feeling that Jungwoo has feelings for Yeojin and is maybe having doubts about his future with Seoyoung, and that Yeojin has feelings for Jungwoo, too, that even made her protect him during the attack by Mr. Park's thugs. If that's the case, we may have a long way to go before these issues get resolved.

Last night was Episode 50.... Whaa? That can't be right. Seoyoung and Jungwoo belong together. I was thinking, Yeojin and Seoyoung's cousin...the sweet, funny guy who loves her...Ki-beom. He's been her puppy the whole time, he deserves to get the girl. Chi8, we learned that Sungmi had a child earlier in the series, but probably most people forgot. She was comparing herself to Hye-sun in the chicken cafe one day, saying she thinks about her child all the time and hates not being able to see him (her?). Therefore, Hye-sun must be an awful person for not even trying to see her son. (Of course, we found out shortly after that, it was Sungmi who made Hyesun think her son was in an orphanage in the first place. Oh, that Sungmi.) I got the impression that Sungmi had to give up custody because she could not afford to support the child, probably because she was a struggling insurance salesperson. Koreanwiz has 60 episodes listed. It took me a minute to find it, as it's listed as "Goodbye to Sadness" so it wasn't listed under "F" LOL. Bo

...if i have to wait much longer for the historical/period dramas to return, i very well may get hysterical. And I, for one, never want to witness that... Anyone with the name "archfiend" in her screen-name getting hysterical...well, don't do it near any swords... ;D Bo

Oh, wow, I think Tuesday night was THE last episode. Did anyone catch it? I tried to record it, but the reception was pretty rotton when I left in the afternoon...

Thebo, You didn't miss the ending, it ends Monday. I would summarize what happened for you but I just started watching it recently, so I am not the best one to tell you what is going on. All I can tell you is that Mrs. Kang is dying from pancreatic cancer. The couple who raised Jinwoo are having a wedding because they never had one, and Jinwoo is beginning to realize that his mother is sick. We need Captain Video to clarify it better.
I do have a question, if Mrs. Kang is everyone's mother, who is the father and why did she give up Jinwoo?

....... I do have a question, if Mrs. Kang is everyone's mother, who is the father ........? Mrs Kang married Mr. Han (father of the three oldest brothers and Sung mi), so she was their step-mother, then she had Jung woo.... Sung jae (oldest brother) said since Jung woo accepted Mrs Kang as his real mother his brothers should also accept her as their real mother...

Thanks Ducky. That explains why she doesn't look old enough to be everyones mother.

LOL. LOL. LOL. Thanks, gpaul. For some reason, that was just the funniest exchange.
And thanks for the info on the show--but we'll see that Monday night, hopefully. Since I'm not clear which show you are talking about, I'll put spoiler space in your post.

That already happened. Hye-sun said she wanted to host a wedding for Sung-jae and Seonok, since they never had one. (??) Maybe not a fun one or not a formal one? Sung-mi is living with Hye-sun in order to cover for her and take care of her while she has chemotherapy for her stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Sung-mi is taking it hard, and broke down in front of Mr. Moon and told him about HS's impending death. They went to see HS and Moon broke down crying and kneeling at HS's feet, then they all had to cover because Jung-woo was there. The doctor-brother's wife is being really sweet to everyone. A good development there. Seo-young's parents are going to temporarily adopt 2 orphan sisters, until they finish school -and beyond, do you want to bet?
