It's surprising that his awful wife seems to be trying to get him back. Maybe she'll change enough to sign the vows-I hope.
It's so unfair that when he walked out, he didn't take any belongings except the pair of sweatpants he had in college. Sheesh. Was he working as a doctor for just his room and board? Was he a slave? That's infuriating. And he's still wearing those pants!

Why can't she compromise is what I'm asking. It seems that she comes from old money, but she doesn't have any class that goes along with that. *rolls eyes* She's incredibly annoying. Sung-kyu probably gave all his earnings to her and then SHE decided what was to be given to him afterwards!

I kinda think that maybe to the wife, Sungkyu was a trophy husband being a doctor and all who rose from poverty to richess...

He got cheated all along, I think. A trophy wife usually just has to look good, maybe be sociable at parties. He had a career and worked to earn his keep and pay for the hospital her family built. But he didn't get any respect, nor apparently any income. Fooey on her.

I'll be okay with the pair getting back together if Joohee pleads to Sungkyu on her hands and knees, sans cushion. Tears preferred, but not required.

She's arrogant, and rude, and haughty..... But he let her treat him like that for a long time, so that's his problem as well. I also think that he's finding it somewhat difficult adjusting to his "newly found poordom." He's a great guy and a good brother, no doubt, but he's just a bit, for lack of a better word, out of place in his new setting.

He's kind of unskilled but he keeps working, anyway.
It's funny how he and Sung-mi keep fighting. They're the closest in age, I guess. Wonder how they would be to each other if they hadn't been apart for so long. Maybe more amiable and grown-up?

I see their fighting as mostly a good-natured, brother-sister thing. Nothing spiteful that I can see. I am the youngest of eight kids, so I know about these things!

I think you are right, chi8. My sisters are two years apart, and their fights are rather similar. And they're certainly supposed to be "grown up" by now. One day a few months ago, my mom thought they were going to come to blows over a TV program. But they get along great most of the time.
