Why didn't Hee-sook tell anyone/everyone that it's her husband who insisted on the divorce? She's getting blamed for being heartless. Or wouldn't they believe her because everybody lies anyway?

It was my impression that she implied this to Sang-jae (Chxman)--or was it the friend who played Hee-sook's husband on OMR. He seemed to understand she was saying it was her husband's insistence. However, he still said to her, "You should not have allowed it." I get the feeling she's damned if she does or damned if she doesn't--if she says nothing, they will say, YOU should not have done that. If she says "He INSISTED and I had no choice," they will say, "YOU should not have allowed him."
Double standard? Ye-AH. Lying? Not exactly. But you know, I think everyone is acting pretty stupid about this, including Hee-sook. Getting legally divorced is a very good idea for this situation, it's only because she does not trust her husband to come back to her that there's a problem. There can't be any connection for anyone--legal, illegal or slightly shady--to trace back to her and her son. It only makes sense.

There was also the lying episode where Ilho's wife told her MIL that the twin beds were the husband's idea. Then he came home and said, why are there 2 beds? I guess she didn't want to rock the boat by blaming him for her bad feelings. Was it taking the easy way out or just keeping the household quiet?
Then there's Ilho telling his daughter he saw his wife sleeping, when really she had gotten up and left the room after his confession, fully dressed. aigu.

Aigu. I was unable to tape last week's episodes (suddenly I couldn't get the signal any more). Hopefully, it's fixed now. But in the meantime, I didn't see the thing about the double beds. What did Ilho confess?
As for lying to the daughter, I don't think it's so odd for a parent to try to cover up to a child about a disagreement he/she is having with the other parent. And sometimes, they tell the most ridiculous lies to do it, when they should just say, "Stay out of it." But that's me.

The snake confessed that years ago, he had him fired from his job, had goons beat him up, and one other thing that I've forgotten. He said they each hated the other, they were born enemies. But Ilho was the adult, was he jealous that his daughter loved someone else? His wife asked, How could you ruin a young man's life? You will get what's coming to you, or something like that. Then she got up from her nap and went into the piano room. Next morning noone could find her.

Oooooh, ginny, wow. But he's lying again! Ilho may have done all those things to Sang-min because he didn't want him dating his daughter, but also, he didn't want his daughter to date Sang-min because years earlier, Ilho had ruined the Han family just to start his own business! But he's hiding that inconvenient fact from his beloved wife.

Lying, huh? She probably had a reason. Sometimes people especially children have to lie to live in this world.

But pharaoh, we are talking about Ilho. He's the big liar. Liar, liar, pants on fire. Hope he gets caught by an FBI wire.
Hee, hee.
