Ok I don't know what episodes you are on in Chicago but in NJ we are on 36. Here goes! The Jang's are bankrupt! Minjoo is pregnant by Dojin, she won't marry him because she believes he doesn't love her. Mrs. Jang is still a snob even though they are broke, and she still doesn't like Jungwoo(what a snob! ) Jungwoo set up a meeting with Ms. Kang and Mr. Jang hoping she could help, Mr. Jang said Ms. Kang looked familar.(her past is catching up to her) Mr. Jang sell the cafe to Ms. Kang. The Han brothers noodle company is selling there noodles on TV, but Park Ilho found out and bought the same time slot on another channel selling his product for less and giving a free gift, (the punk ) The Hans rent a tent to sell there noodles for publicity, 1st nite goes well! 2nd nite not so good. A resturant want them to buy there noodles! Woo Hoo! ;D Dojin tells his mother about Minjoo, she goes to see her at the cafe, she runs into Mrs. Park. Mrs. Park speaks to her she asks her to have tea. Ms. Kang runs from the cafe looking very uncomfortable. Sungkyu left his wife and is living with his family. I think that's it. Enjoy the show!

Hey everyone!
Last night in episode 39 Jungwoo finds out that Ms. Kang is his mother!! He is not a happy camper. I have a feeling that he is not going to take this well. He's not going to be the happy everything's ok Jungwoo, I think he's gonna blow his top and everyone is going to get hit. It's all Seoyoung's fault too, because she's so nosy. She put it all together and she couldn't wait to tell Jungwoo. Now she is sorry that she said anything because she see how upset jungwoo is. Now we will see what happens next! Enjoy the show! Happy Watching!

Just saw the final episode here in Virginia.
Mrs. Kang gives Sungjae and his wife the wedding and honeymoon they could never have.
Mrs. Kang gives her nightclub to long time faithful employee Mr. Lee.
Sungmin and Heesoo are back together and Heesoo is pregnant.
Sungmi (the sister) is engaged to that fat cook (can't remember his name).
Sungkyu and his wife are happily back together.
Minjoo has a baby boy.
Old man Ilho finally respects Dojin's business acumen after he has a good idea to partner with Han Brothers Noodles on a product.
Kibeom seems destined to hook up with Yeojin.
Mrs. Kang dies of pancreatic cancer, but after spending time with Jungwoo. The death happened fast and was glossed over - not nearly as dramatic as I thought it would be.
Jungwoo and Seoyoung's marriage is scheduled to take place but never does by the end of the show.

Lots of people are getting married. I wish it didn't have such a happy ending however...

I was hoping more would happen with Ilho, like a complete personality and financial reversal. Bae, at least it isn't the stereotypical "first love wins out" with Sung-min and Yeo-jin getting together. (My preference, except when I consider Dongha)

Basically happy ending, yes. But with Hyesun dying, it was painful too. A real fake happy ending would have seen her getting a miracle cure. It is touching when they show Jungwoo and Seoyung at the cemetary with the picture of Hyesun there (reminded me of the final scene in War of the Roses when the hubby and girls visited the mom's gravesite).

That's a beautiful Abyssinian cat, but please elaborate on its connection to Farewell to Sorrow.
