It looked to me like this wedding took place much too fast, and as though it's taking a backseat to business meetings on the same day Also, they don't seem comfortable together yet. Hopefully, wedded bliss will prevail!

I don't understand why the rush? Did they have to get married right away? Couldn't they just date and see how they got along? Well at least it seems like Seungu is warming up to Sena and is alot nicer and sweet compared to the previous episodes. They did seem uncomfortable with each other when they were getting ready to go to bed and had to undress. I guess they must be really really shy and it being their first night were probably embarrased (scared?) Well I'm starting to like Seungu more, though I don't really like his hairstyle.
oh and what is up with Yunsa's fiance? He is such a jerk! He was at the bar with another woman when Yunsa called him during the night. Why does he want to marry Yunsa? When she asked him why he liked her he couldn't even answer her. And now it seems that he has some kind of past with Sena.

Hopefully, wedded bliss will prevail! Probably because what the writer wanted to depict through this drama was not the process of two people meeting each other and getting married, but rather what happens after, especially with regards to their feelings... I've said this in the other thread, but in this drama, marriage is looked at in a different way from that in many other Korean dramas. That's why it's titled Wedding, to show that it's going to focus on marriage and give it a good disection rather than looking at it simply as the final destination of love. From the point of view of the characters themselves, well, Sena loves Seungwoo so much and on Seungwoo's part, he doesn't so much as care anymore after being dumped by Yunsu... Yeah, that's not a nice thing to do, but...

When I saw who wrote this thing, it really was fair warning - there's going to be a lot of that sort of irritating things to wonder about. I was more bothered by her reaction to it all, obsessing about it - right after her wedding! Yet, Jang Nara is cute and there may be hope for this show. donilpark, your enthusiam convinced me to give Wedding a shot, though I have to tell you, nothing I've seen so far hasn't been done already a lot. Nothing original here - yet.

Hm... really? In how many Korean dramas have you seen the main characters getting married up front? Isn't that something rare already? (if not completely new.) Anyway, wait and see. pay attention to the things where Korean dramas are getting lots of criticism for being trite. But still, I must tell you that you may not like this show, new or otherwise.

Anyway, wait and see. pay attention to the things where Korean dramas are getting lots of criticism for being trite. It's simply a variation of the usual formula of beginning a show with a dramatic event. So far the show has two main things going against it (besides not being a historical drama): 1.) This writer specializes in female characters who cannot communicate honestly and/or answer direct questions and that leads to very tedious plotlines. For those who suffer with us through MSMD, we don't need another Inyoung! Fortunately, in Wedding, both lead actresses are very cute, so that helps a lot. Still, 2.)Neither male lead actor cuts it. One looks insincere, as if he's trying to be Hugh Grant doing dreamy looks, and the other is a little creepy - he reminds me a little of Christopher Walken. The women could do a lot better! dp, I hope you turn out to be right. I guess it's just that I haven't seen many modern K-dramas that I could honestly say are "good" - All About Eve and Who's My Love are the only two I could recommend without hesitation. My Sweetheart, My Darling and Precious Child were train wrecks I couldn't stop watching and the the others were interesting in some ways, but seriously flawed. Wedding is in the last category so far because of the awkward love triangle situations and the main characters' lack of emotional maturity and ability to communicate honestly. A lot of the dialog doesn't ring true because of that, especially since the characters speak as if one person is writing all the lines. Is the title Wedded Bliss supposed to be ironic?! I will give the show credit for one thing: at least there isn't an irritating buffoon character (like the annoying coworker in MSMD) and it IS watchable so far. We'll see...

Sure, but remember the title of the show. Wedding or Wedded bliss. It's not any dramatic event so they can just grab attention.
They'll grow up, they'll grow up.
Other than that, I won't say anything about your criticisms.

Well so far I like it, and will definetely keep watching. As for characters doing irritating annoying things, I think there is people like that in every k-drama.

This drama has definitely captured my interest. For myself, there is something very appealing about the relationship between Sena & Seungu. (At the same time, the relationship between Yunsa and her fiance is still puzzling to me, as of the latest episode, anyway.) **BTW, the fact that such strong debate has been posted here between two such obviously thoughtful and analytical viewers (knov1 and donilpark) is indicative that there is probably something of value for many in this drama (and that is definitely a good thing!)

(At the same time, the relationship between Yunsa and her fiance is still puzzling to me, as of the latest episode, anyway.) yea their relationship seems to be weird. Yunsa doesn't seem to like him at all. In fact it seems that she has feelings for Seungu, so I don't understand why she never said anything, and if she liked Seungu why did she go with the other guy? And her fiance (what the heck is his name?), does he even like her? He told her that she reminded him of his mother but he never told her that he loved her. I seriously don't think he likes Yunsa at all.

I remember that in "My Lovely Family," Jee-hae and Jae-min got married in about the fourth episode.
I sort of like what's going on right now, but if they don't move the plot along past the Seungu-Yunsa issue, it's going to get really tiresome. I'm glad that guy broke up with Yunsa, since it's always nice to have a bombshell every once in a while. You could tell they were no longer into each other anymore. So, Yunsa, how does it feel to go from having 2 men in love with you to no men? :-\

Well so far I like it, and will definetely keep watching. As for characters doing irritating annoying things, I think there is people like that in every k-drama. :)Of course you're right about that, Alexa! Hey, I'm sorry to have come off as so contentious about this. Here's my excuse (the best kind, a true one!): MSMD has been so slow-moving and annoying that I I'm very leery of adding to our overall K-drama-related irritation level and I apologize for be so negative about this one. (Ever notice how often the words "irritating" and "annoying" show up on these boards? There's a reason.) There are some things to like about Wedding (though my earlier criticisms still hold - I see that I'm not alone in feeling that way either, judging by posts on other boards) We also really miss the historical dramas - it's strange having it be Monday night and nothing on Ch. 28 to look forward to! The modern dramas, any of them, don't hold a candle to the historical ones in any way, though we enjoy them (except MSMD) more than American programs, especially for their insights and "slice-of-life" aspects of observing another culture. I also agree with you, Mister Bill and Alexa, that it didn't seem necessary to have the wedding right away, though I suppose it could be argued that it shows that the wedding itself wasn't considered to be the highest priority in their lives, setting the stage for inevitable (and possibly irritating) conflict. On the positive side, how about those cool pajamas? Overall, though, Wedding is better than I expected so far and we'll continue to see how it goes...maybe.

Yeah, I think if you keep on watching, you'll be able to understand why the writer did what she did.

Hi, Ken! Good to see you here. I can't believe you're still considered "New Addict". Or maybe I've got the wrong "Ken"? Are you the K of K-and-J? The actress playing Lee Sena is very good, though I haven't seen her in anything else. Maybe she's just good at playing this sort of character. But I like to watch her face; she goes blank when she is angry or confused, and then you can see her make up her mind to be cheerful again or deliberately brush off whatever is bothering her. Also, I relate to her as the "Pink Princess" , having those tendencies myself.
