I really like the character of Eunha. In the beginning, she keeps her feelings for Andrea private, but writes moving poetry.
He is her family. Mother, father, brother, best friend. Protector, confidante. Her love for him is something that goes beyond romantic love. It reaches to the very core of her being. Andrea is, quite literally, her "everything".
Relations between orphans in institutional settings are unlike any other relationships between children elsewhere. Orphans parent one another and regardless of the presence of caring adults, it is the fellow orphan who carries the weight and authority. Orphans who are raised in orphanages often make enduring friendships that last a lifetime.
Eunha is also tough. Notice how she told Andrea from the beginning that she didn't like Jinsoo. She had no problem in letting Jinsoo know her feelings, either. She is extremely self-protective and like a tigress in her desire to protect Andrea. She told him that she didn't like Jinsoo but she respected Andrea enough to let him go his own way in his emerging friendship with Jinsoo.
On the other hand one can see her great feelings of ambiguity toward Jinsoo. She tried to get rid of him in the beginning when she first met him, but has become rather passive towards him. I don't think that she likes him at all, but she acts almost resigned with his continued overtures. It's as though she feels that she doesn't have a right to go against his increasing overtures since Andrea doesn't stop them. He was her protector--she and he just left the orphanage--she has no experience in romance and doesn't know how to behave--how to get rid of the guy--how to protect herself. Passivity more appropriate for an older child than for a young woman.
And yet look at the anger--upon seeing Jinsoo's family pix. She was deeply offended at being taken to that house. She saw Jinsoo as "slumming" with herself and Andrea and resented being used. What a girl!!!!
