You really need to let us in on this now. I hope you do still have the name and address. The Check Please web site only shows Jin Ju and Joy Yee's Noodle Shop but this one is Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean. Neither show being open 24 hours. San Soo Gab San (24 hour) is listed under "other" cuisine on Check Please for some reason. Not under Asian as the other 2 are. I am very curious now.

It'd be fun if some of us from the board can all meet there and have some Korean food together

That would be great but getting together on a specific day can be difficult.

Here is the info for that Korean Restaurant, I didn't write down the name:
5247 N. Western Ave. 773-334-1589
Like I said I saw it on "Check Please" on channel 11 about a month ago. It's opened 24 hours, and the price is about $17 per person. They do bring you out like 10 (or more?) sidedishes so you can try their different foods and you grill your own meat. The only reason I want to go check it out, is for all the side dishes you get. I think its a good way to get a taste of different Korean dishes. The only time I tried Korean food was at the Korean Gathering last month and I definetely want to have some again, especialy with some Soju ;D

I think I got it right now:
Okay Andrea and Woojin ARE NOT blood brothers. Woojin said that he found out that his mother WAS NOT his real mother. His dad kicked the real mother out to marry Andrea's mother. What hurt Woojin more, was the fact that the woman who he thought was his mother wasnt. I guess he loves her alot.
Then yesterday Andrea's mom was talking to her husband (Woojin's dad) and she said "maybe we shouldn'tve gotten married after my husband died" something like that. So it turns out, that Andreas parents and Woojn's parents knew each other from school. Andrea's mom lost her husband, I guess fell in love with Woojins dad. Woojins' dad abandoned his wife (Woojin's real mother) to marry Andrea's mom.
What I don't understand is why did Andrea's mom abandon her son?

Here it is from Check Please! It's listed under "other" cuisine for some odd reason.
San Soo Gab San
Type of Cuisine: Korean Address: 5247 N. Western Ave. Chicago Phone: 773-334-1589 Open Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner Average dinner tab $17 Per person without drinks Reservations: Reservations are accepted Credit Cards: All major credit cards are accepted What our reviewers said Peter recommends it and says that it's the perfect place for thrill seekers. Ted says that the concept is great but the execution was poor. Deb says the execution was great and still dreams about the dumplings.

It looked like a nice, cozy restaurant. They had these little walls that separate the tables, so it's like your in your own little room. I definetely have to check it out.

Okay .. I will get in my car on Sunday and take a little drive down Bryn Mawr south on Kedzie to Lawrence and then back north down Kimball and will check out ALL the Korean restaurants along the way. ;D I mean, I will write down the names and addresses - not stop in for food - LOL - I know there is a restaurant either in that little mall by the Foster Bank or across the street on Kedzie... 52___ n. Kedzie. That one is advertised on CH28 - don't know if it's 24 hour open - [listing the hours just as the Korean business signs do] LOL - There are several restaurants and food stores on Lincoln Avenue from about 5200 North {Foster Ave] to 6000 north [Peterson Ave]. My old law office [5790 N. Lincoln] was on the opposite side of the street and down the block from a Korean food store and Bar-b-q restaurant. It's on the Northwest corner of Lincoln Ave and California. More later. Now I just wish I had some of those delicious seafood pancakes ... yum yum ...

Oh soapyframs I still have not tried my hand at the seafood pancakes yet. I need to get all the ingredients! Michael was so kind to post a recipe. I also found another one similar on a Korean recipe website.
