About that scene with the grandfather, I missed most of it. How did they meet and why were they talking? Wha' hoppen? Lucy, I don't remember exactly detail by detail so I'll try my best. I think JungEun ran into (literally) the grandfather while she was delivering papers, not sure. And she apologized to him like a thousand times. Then later on during the day they bumped into each other again at a little fruit stand around the corner of JungEun's house. The grandfather bought some fruit and actually had it delivered to KyungMin's house. Oh earlier that day the grandfather had gone up to the apartment and saw KyungMin studying outside. Anyways JungEun and the grandfather started talking right there by the fruit stand and ending up having lunch. How that happened I don't know. One minute there talking by the fruit stand, next minute they're at the restaurant. I found that odd, that 2 complete strangers who just met a few minutes ago would go out to eat. Anyways I think the grandfather was kinda impressed with JungEun, so if he ever found out that she was with KyungMin, I think he would approve. Oh and the funny part about the whole thing was that both of them were talking about KyungMin during lunch but they never referred to him by name. The grandfather was talking about his grandson, JungEun about her "boyfriend"

thank you, Alexa! That fits in with what I saw of the tail end of the scene. I guess it wasn't totally clear anyway how they ended up getting together like that. Just one of those random coincidences.
Maybe Kyung-min's grandfather is a self-made man and that's why he respects Jung-eun's work ethic and sticktoitiveness. It bodes well for her. I think the grandma will be more of a problem, but he probably will be glad to have her grounding influence on his flighty, irresponsible grandson.

Yeah, he was commending her for being such a hardworker. But then the Grandpa asks what can be done for this generation that doesn't like to work, JE answers that you have to let them do it at their own time. I guess so they can continue talking they end up at a restaurant together and Grandpa asks her why she works so much and she says that she has to to pay off some debt. When he asks if it is for a man she just smiles. He says that is no good.

She dashed into the store and bought him a little something to make up for having nearly run into him earlier in the day. Jung Eun then turned to the bags of garlic, and grandfather asked her what she was going to do with all that garlic. She told him that she peeled the garlic to make some extra money; and grandfather replied, to Jung Eun's surprise, that he used to do the same thing when he was young. Through starting small and working hard, he became successful. He was so impressed with her that they then sat down together at the restaurant or coffee shop or whatever it is (sorry, I can't read the Hangeul in the background there).

Ccwf, once again an awesome storyboarding of the scenes in question. Thank you!! I can't believe I missed seeing the cute Korean catcat; did she do anything worth remarking on? P.S. Look how cute Jung-eun is in that last picture. How can anyone call her ugly?
