I think that proposal scene was cut out from the airing? I'm not sure. I didn't see the proposal scene.

Maybe it was indirect. When Jae-min told Ok-jin "In-young is the love of my life", which In-young overheard, it might be interpreted as "I want to spend my life with her."

It seems that IY speaking to her father about a possible marriage with JM started the proposal. It seemed positive when JM met her father for dinner. Maybe in Korea, the parents are more involved in a childs' marriage than here in America.
Both JM and IY's father have something in common. They both lost their wives to cancer, so they know what it's like to suffer a personal loss while having children to raise. I think the match between IY and JM will be a mature, stable one. JM already has a child, so he won't be demanding that IY have one as SM did. Who knows, but IY may be so calm that she'll become pregnant. I really think the demands on her by SM prevented that.

I'm wondering--is anyone else here worried about Jae-min? I'm afraid that when Ki-joon finds out, he's going to try to get at In-young again and she'll leave JM. They keep playing that song (ad infinitum) in their scenes together--("Today while the blossoms still cling to the vine/I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine/A million tomorrows shall all pass away/Ere I forget all the joy that is mine today")--and it's making me think that JM is riding for a fall. Say it isn't so! He deserves In-young, and he deserves for her to fall in love with him for himself, not just because he's kind and sweet and has a son. Speaking of which, did y'all see him emailing her while wearing his white t-shirt? Grrowwwr! That Lee Chang-hoon has a lot going for him--cute face, great body . . . again, I say, GRRRooowwwr.

I thought In-young was showing signs of morning sickness, but not anymore. Wonder if that's realistic, to have 2 days of symptoms. Just a bit of nausea and faintness following her night with Ki-joon. She seems carefree now, nearly.

Kijoon got that stupid look on his face when Sunmi told her that they are getting married. Unni--I like that he doesn't have skinny arms!

That's true, GC. He's got some little muscles on him. Yummers. I lob him. If you deliberately don't watch the previews, stop reading now. {spoiler space} Well, it seems from the previews that In-young IS pregnant! What is going to happen? !! I think everyone's dreams are going to be ruined. I just don't see Jae-min being anything but disappointed and put off by the fact that In-young had sex with Ki-joon, and I don't see him raising the child of another man who is still living and was loved passionately by his wife. Unless he is some kind of saint. I hope he at least goes through some kind of rebellion and gives up on putting her on a pedestal--before he takes her back and everyone lives happily ever after. Maybe it will even make IY love him like a real man instead of like a combination father/brother/chaste boyfriend.

Ya know, the thing at the end says "Next episode", but its always been apparent theat it's really "Coming soon". I'm always left wondering how long until I see some particular development, and now, with the subtitled teasers, I wonder even more.
[re: the editing being done lately, and WILL we actually see said development - I won't go there in this post]
I want to see Ok-jin make Hee-joo do chores, like her alter-ego did in 'To Be With You': "Polish the floors, and change the curtains. And, here's a truck load of Napa Cabbage; make Kim-chee before going to bed tonight."

LOL...I can just imagine Hee-joo's response to all that, "I don't want to do it, amunee. I'm going upstairs now." And poor amunee is sitting on the couch, "Ok-ja! Bring me pills!" I notice how Ok-ja is the only one that is there to support her sister when she's feeling ill. But Ok-jin never appreciates it, "Shut-up you!" What if one day after SM has another confrontation with HJ and calls for Ok-ja to bring the pills, Ok-ja is not there? SM should show more respect to her sister. But then again, we've been wanting that since episode 1. Sheesh.

I thought it was so funny when Ok-jin barked out that order for pills and didn't even say what kind. Ok-ja came running and asked, "What's wrong??" and Ok-jin told her, basically, to shut up and bring her some pills. OK, then, how about a little arsenic, sister, since you're not specifying?

New to board, but I want to put in my two cents. I hope In-young isn't pregnant with Kijoon's kid. But it seems that way. Come on! She can't lose Jae-min! Jae-min is way hotter, and his eybrows are thinner. Plus, his cheeks don't puff out in that weird way. And he is kind! In-young better stop tripping, keep her mouth shut, and get her groove on with Jae-min so she can pawn the kid off as his. All right, all right. That would be wrong. But it would be good drama.

Haha, don't feel too bad, I actually thought the same thing , I'm afraid that if she is pregnant with KJ's baby, then that might bring the two together again, which I hate the idea, and worse, SM (Screechy Mom) is definitely going to try and claim the kid since she's been wanting a grandchild so badly.

I know, I am with you two on all points. The only mitigating factor is that In-young might really not want to get back together with Ki-joon because of all the bad associations. Probably the last thing she wants is to have SM for her MIL again.
But who knows? In-young is one of those characters who says one thing and does another. She might say that she wants to leave Ki-joon behind forever (as she did in her last playground time capsule), but if things started to change again to make it possible for them to get back together, she might just as easily forgive SM and start loving Ki-joon again instead of Jae-min. I get the feeling we're meant to think of KJ and IY as fated to be together, but I've never bought it.

Didn't In-young's doctor test her for pregnancy? I couldn't believe her telling Jae-min that he wasted her time taking her to the hospital because nothing is wrong. The doctor TOLD her to make an appointment with an obstetrician-IY is being so dense! Maybe today she will check her calendar.
I feel sorry for In-young, always being contacted by the awful women in Ki-joon's life. They haven't ever been a positive force for her, why does she always agree to meet them? I wonder if it's a particular Korean thing, to give people a chance to speak their piece. I would want to say, "Go jump in the lake," or something more profane.
