ugh i can't watch korean soap operas. the plots are so trite.
at least the historical dramas have the history costumes and pathos. i'd rather watch a drama about a man who took on an entire invasion fleet with only 12 ships and a big set of balls than watch some girl whining about how her guy is in love with another girl who is love with a completely different guy who was in a car accident who is in love with a girl who...
you get the idea
(yawn)

Or how about the guy who falls in love with a girl that turns out to be his long lost sister who was switched at birth with this other girl who is in love with the brother and... Hey I admit I still watch them regularly here but after 2 years of viewing some of the repeated plotlines are starting to get to me. Actually I got hooked on Korean programming by watching the soap operas first and then gravitated toward the historical drama when I caught the tail end of Dawn of The Empire. I said hey I better catch this Age of Warriors from the beginning when it starts and I haven't looked back since.

and hey new york fans - don't be so hard on the guys at your station. i think they just severely underestimated how many people who don't speak korean watch the shows. Also WMBC, whose broadcast reaches here in NY, is not just Korean programming. They also play local NJ news and Christian programs as well as Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Austrian, and Polish programs. Oh yeah, and infomercials!

As is so often the case, I’ve arrived a little late to the party . . .
But, let me anyway express my gratitude to VIB for her wonderful Episode 140 play-by-play. I’d overlooked it somehow, and so I only just finished reading it a few moments ago.
Beautifully done, VIB! Really and truly, it was almost like actually being there!
Thank you so much. I can see what an effort it was, and you can be assured that it was genuinely appreciated by all us non-Korean AOW fans!
