P.S. GC, I have to disagree slightly --the worst kiss is the one Yoon-sik gave Ji-yeun on "WML" last week. He just mashed his face into hers and held her there while she tried to wriggle away. Ick. I haven't seen my tape, so you are probably right. But I bet at least their kiss was funny. This one was just awkward.

Maybe we should start having surnames for these characters because remembering their names is difficult. Ki-joon's mother should be WCW for wild, crazy woman. Around my house, HeeJoo is known as Trappy Girl. My friend calls the cancer husband Mannequin Face, and the girl that followed Inchul home (and lied about the pregnancy), is known as Krangelina Jolie (Korean Angelina Jolie..)

nice names paduk.scholar. but why the reference to angelina? is it those ginormous lips that she tries to pout and look cute with?

There was a movie (back in the 90s) called FoxFire which had Jolie in it, and she looks exactly like Inchul's crazy girl. The same haircut, the big eyes and lips.

Some of the character nicknames currently floating about on the California board: Ki-joon: “Sport Guy”Hee-joo: “Pushy Girl”Ok-jin “Screech Mom” (sometimes just “Screech”) Mi-jung: “Military Girl” (or, when I’m commenting, “Army Girl”) Jae-min: “Mr. Wonderful”

i kind of don't miss mpc. it was annoying with the characters discussing every single thing... but, it's true, she is WCW... it's catchy...

Why "Mannequin Face"? I always think of the military girl as "Camp Follower," which is what they used to call what she is. It's not exactly a catchy nickname, though. I think this time around I'm just going to learn their names.

I've been taping this drama when I'm not home. However, I like MPC better because the characters were more diverse and colorful. I always like Min-sup with his mother, Jin-soo, Hee-soo and her Dad, even Ji-woong.
This drama, so far, revolves more around love relationships and 2 evil women, Ok-jin and Hee-joo, their homes and a few restaurants. I'll just keep watching it because it's new, but MPC drew me in right away because it didn't only revolve around 2 lovers.
