I know as if "I was just so angry" justifies it all. When I was typing my thing up about Hejoo I kept thinking about Tammy Winnett's "Stand By Your Man."
Sometimes it's hard to be a woman, givin' all your love to just one man. You'll have bad times and he'll have good times. But after all he's just a man.

Oh, you are probably closer than you know! (I don't know, I just feel that's exactly what she would like to do.)
The whole thing makes me squirmy. I mean, what she's metaphorically doing is putting herself in the bed with Hee-joo and Ki-joon and directing the action. YUCK.

I know, it's like she's breeding puppies or something. One thing that bothered me back when IY and KJ were married: as much as ol' Screech put the pressure on making babies, she sure wasn't worried about walking in on them. She'd always just burst through their bedroom door. Luckily all she ever saw was IY working on a book. Oh, and I agree with everyone on their Hee-joo opinions. Although I wasn't as mad at slimy KJ for slapping a woman since it was Hee-joo. Maybe because all I see when I look at HJ is a turtle-faced gijipae. I'd like to slap her, too. <- evil angry smiley

In real life, of course, slapping is wrong, but in the show, he's so mixed up that it makes sense--and, of course, many of us would have liked to slap her ourselves. I didn't notice that she didn't connect on her slap, though. They both deserve a good smack in the puss, as does SM. I can't stand looking at him. He is like a giant baby, with those big pouty baby lips (the way the top lip curves up--yuck) and his perpetually sulky expression. I like a more refined-looking man, like a certain someone whose name I will not mention (but whose initials are LCH).

ha...ha..ha.. heejoo a turtle face gijipae. what is a gijipae, it must be bad . anyway we're now in episode 152 here in the philippines and last few episodes are so exciting and coming on to a(hopefully) a satisfying climax. i want to see the actress playing heejoo in a more agreeable and likeable character.but she's proving to be an effective actress, she really delivers.

LOL A match made in heaven: a GIANT BABY and a turtle face gijipae. SM would deserve a grandchild created by these two. ;D ...and to think I just got home from church

Ellen, "gijipae" is a word that they use in these dramas that has sometimes been translated for us simply as "girl," but they way they use it, I think it's more the way some people say "wench" in the U.S. It seems to have connotations of someone who is rough and obnoxious, or disrespectful, or just not very well-behaved in general. Someone you look down on because of their behavior. p.s. since you're ahead of us in the Philippines, please be careful not to let us know anything of what is coming up that we haven't seen yet. I'm sure the people on the "spoiler" thread would love to hear from you, though, if you haven't been visiting there already.

I always took gijipae as "broad" since in WML it says that it's slang for girl.

Now there's 'Jijipae', I saw it on WML, during Oldest and Younger Grandma's conversation.

heejoo's hairstyle is now different. maybe they listened to earlier posts that she suffers from bad hair day syndrome . we're now in our final week here in the philippines and its so sad to let go of 'my darling, my sweetheart'. honestly, i try not to miss a single episode since for th elast 3 months or so. even if our family has to go somewhere else(dinner or a night out), i watch it on its replay hour which is around 1:30am. i hope the drama which replaces it is as good.

Ki-joon is such a wimp that he slaps Hee-joo for telling him the truth about his mother. However, what did HJ expect when she was determined to have her way, thinking that she could change KJ? HJ, finally broken down by the dysfunction of KJ and his mother, may very well plan to get pregnant thinking that it will bring some peace to their marriage. If this happens, HJ, who has a career ahead, won't be very happy being a "homebound" wife with a child living with her MIL.

Hee-joo is so ridiculous. Even if we are going to accept her argument that she's only saying what she thinks all the time and that there's nothing wrong with that and people shouldn't get offended, she then has the gall to tell Ki-joon that certain things he says hurt her feelings. Like last week when they were talking about SM, and HJ said that he shouldn't say certain things (I can't remember exactly what, but it had to do with her taking Mom's guff and not talking back all the time). Well, either this philosophy of "if I'm just saying what I feel" holds water, or it doesn't. Either honesty is the best policy and no harm done, or it isn't. She's so inconsistent. I wish someone would point it out to her. I get so frustrated with these soaps where people let issues and statements slide all the time. Ki-joon should say to her, "If you're going to share your opinions all the time, then you have no right to be offended when other people share theirs."

THANK YOU Lucy for saying that I find myself arguing with Hejoo from my couch as crazy as it seems but her character is so fastidious. She's a hypocrite and it seems to me that her true intentions for speaking so frank is to hurt others, even if SM deserves it but I thinks that she's just a spoil brat who is getting what she deserves. Kijoon told her that if he married someone else that woman would become just another woman and she begged for him to marry her so she shouldn't pretend to be surprised about him loving In-young and not her and if he married her because his mother told him to, she shouldn't be surprised if SM ask Kijoon to divorce Heejoo the wench. ;D
