Soapy, you're welcome. Did you click on the ribbons on each of their wreaths? And for everyone, Annyoung.com lists the WML soundtrack album as being available for purchase. I put in my order, but I don't know if it really is in stock. It's been out of print for a while, so my hopes are not high. The same thing happened to me with the "Attic Cat" soundtrack and they had to cancel my order (or maybe it was YesAsia--one or the other--but I'm just saying it happens).

If you guys get "War of the Roses" it's an ok drama. I don't want to say "good" because...well, I guess I won't say, but I'm watching it now.
My husband said in Korea it was a big hit but (spoiler)it was *very, very, very* sad. He told me not to watch it because I would cry so much it would give me a headache (he knows me so well! LOL)! I watch the tape, but only when I have time.
Lee Tae Ran is in it and also the older (or was it younger?) brother in TBWY - not the guy Moonhee married but the other one. There are several others you'll recognize.

Thanks for the cute Christmas WML thing, Lucy! What a great show this was! Joanie and I are going to miss it a lot. WML is by far the best of the longer (over 50 episodes) K-dramas. A lot of the credit has to go to writer Kim Soo Hyun. At the YSS party, one of KDD's Korean ckassmates told me that she's very famous and is known for casting the dramas herself and is very picky about the cast, director and all the production details. It pays off magnificently! Everything about this drama was top-notch. "Thanks" to the daily dramas, we were wondering if a longer format could possibly work, considering the irritating messes MPC, OMR and MSMD all turned out to be. There's an older series by the same writer, starring Lee Young-ae called "Fireworks" and she also has a new one (68 episodes) called Precious Family. It should be better than the title suggests it will be ;D. There seems to be a little confusion about the series that follows WML. Apparently it's going to be called "War of the Roses" here, but it's also known as Rosy Life, Rose-Colored Life, My Pink Life, etc., etc. There was another show called War of the Roses that starred Choi Soo Jong, but this is a KBS series. This seems to happen a lot, as here is also a KBS series called Loving You which has the same title as an earlier MBC series. The KBS series is widely available, but the one I want to see (the MBC one stars Chae Rim and Yang Mi Ra)is not. Anyway, here is some info I found about My Rose-Colored Pink War: california boardkbs infokorean.wiz

I don't know why they called it "War of the Roses," because "Rose-colored Life" appears to be a pretty much direct translation of the Korean title and is used everywhere else. Huh. I think "Who's My Love" is the most purely enjoyable K-drama I have ever seen. Even "Winter Sonata" had a looong period in the middle where I was bored and frustrated with the neverending back-and-forth between the two guys and the stereotypical purse-dragging mopey behavior of Choi Ji-woo. The fantastic beginning of that show (I loved the multi-episode exposition of the relationships among the teenaged characters) made me invested in the characters and, together with the attractive and skilled actors, kept me watching through the bad times. But WML never jerked us around for the sake of drama. It always respected the characters, which were amazingly well-rounded and well-drawn (except maybe for Sang-sik, who was always annoying and hard to like), and there was always a sense of humor and mutual caring that made the fairly simple depiction of daily life completely fascinating. I remember a few weeks ago talking to my sister (who has never seen a K-drama) on the phone and telling her, "Can you believe that my favorite television show has as its 'cliffhanger' (or 'kicker,' or whatever) for this week the fact that Hana dragged her hanbok sleeve in the soup?" And I did care about that, wondering what the elders would say and knowing we would hear that simple-minded giggle from Hana once again. I hardly ever say this about a TV show, but I felt a little bereft when it ended, and I will miss having my weekly window into this lovable family. BTW, one thing I never commented on is how HUGE the villa is! I never noticed it before a week or so ago, when they started showing it from the side, rather than the front, in their "establishing shots." I guess it would have to be, since it incorporates about 4 large apartments and three businesses. Grandpa must have sold a lot of toilet seats in his day. P.S. I am still regretting that I never saw the full-on "Silk Merchant Hwang" routine. One rubber glove and a little tinsel did not, I'm sure, do justice to the original.

I just wasn't prepared for THE END on Saturday evening. I just loved 'being with' all these folks on F and SA. I wished over and over that I could have a family dynamic like theirs... ok ok... it's all written, it's all pretend... but it was wonderful. There HAS to be a sequel... all the new babies, Quilty's marriage, the return of young-grandpa's wife...

And how close will Father and Ji-yeun's mother get? Wonder if they would all decide they'd rather live together in the villa? Maybe Younger Aunt will closer her cafe and remodel the space for one of the families. Maybe a surprise pregnancy for Older Aunt? Wishing for a sequel here! (I have to keep reminding myself that this is fiction, because they seem so real.)

As with any good K Drama, it is the characters that keep us clued to the TV. And to keep these characters real and believable depends largely on the actors. That is why casting the right actors for the right role is so important. We start to fall in love with them, and when the drama ends, it really leaves a void. But not to worry, there will be another good drama to take its place. And I think 'ROSY LIFE" is the one. It is totally different from WML and we get to see Lee Tae Ran in a totally different light.

In regards to My Rosy Life, I recommend everyone check out the link below. As Lucy stated, I have no idea why it's being called "War of the Roses". War of the Roses

I agree with all of the positive comments about WML. I'm going to miss it terribly since after YSS I wasn't watching any other drama. I will give the "Roses" show a try, though. I'd miss Korean drama if I don't have one to watch.

I can't tell you how happy I am that all of you got to see this excellent drama. Now you know what those of us who saw it before were sighing over when we compared the others dramas to Who's My Love (and see, we weren't exaggerating!).
If nothing else about "War of the Roses" I'll never tire of listening to the theme song, it's one of my favorite Piafs, and the version they are using is not bad either.

carlos, what do you mean by real names? The names of the actors? A great source for stuff like that is www.koreanwiz.org, which, as far as I know, has a page for every Korean show that is played in the US. If you just meant the names of the characters, here are the couples: Kim Yoon-sik and Ji-yeun (I don't remember her last name) Kim Hyun-sik and Go-eun (I don't remember hers either) Kim Sang-sik and Lee Hana Hope that helps!

Lucy, remember Grandma lecturing Goeun on being the "right kind of Kim"? So her name was Kim Go-eun. Also, I think Ji-yeun was an Oh.
