Here is a website I have been trying to get people to try out, and I really must insist you go to it and listen to podcast #8 - "cafe culture." Not only will you gain insight into Korean coffee houses (like Aunt Q's place) and their importance to the culture, but there is a tangental conversation about Korean ideas on female modesty (apparently slapping young women in public is practically a national sport). Please, please check it out. You can either subscribe through iTunes or listen directly on the web. It's about 35 minutes long. podcast pageBackground: This guy is an American living in Korea. He's doing these podcasts mainly for expatriate English-speakers, but the rest of us could learn something and maybe expand our rosy pictures of the place. If you are offended by podcast #7, please look further on the page because he responds to someone else who was. You can join the conversation. I could tell you stuff, but I don't. Bo

Yeah, it's got a LOTTA stuff on it, I spent several hours yesterday digging around and after awhile I felt like I'd just walked off the flight from Seoul, jet lag and all, LOL.
