How can Yoon-sik be so extravagant as to give $750 in bonuses?? He's been running the office for some years, so he knows he can't throw around promises and take them back. I thought he was more mature than that. OK, he's excited, but Ji-yeun would not approve of such a wild celebration, especially so early in a pregnancy. Wonder if the exchange rate for won/dollars is correct?

Didn't he say $250 each? And a table filled with Chinese food.

Oh oh oh, sorry, I didn't realize you totalled it all up, I thought you meant each person got $750. Whoops!

I was thinking about the total expense, and thought, holy cow, how could he spend so much!

Look at that, he ended up breaking his promise, he shouldn't have got too excited, it's good of those guys to let it go without much questions, Yoon-sik has himself some great co-workers.

I don't know about you guys but I would love to work for him. Good bonuses, constant free treats. The only thing I wouldn't like is all those crazy hours they work, it looks like they work 12 hour days all the time. And working on Sunday? Yuck! Somebody call the labor union.

He didn't break his promise, actually. He said if it turned out to be a lucky day (they assumed he had a lottery ticket) then he would do those things. They were all waiting to see if he would "win the lottery" but they realized he didn't, so no harm done. I'm sure he will fulfill his promise when his ship does come in.
