Hanna really spelled it out for Sangsik on the street when she was going to the all night steam bath. (I wish we had one here in Chicago. We used to have a Turkish bath on Milwaukee Ave, but that's another story. . . Sangsik needed to be told. I don't think that it ever crossed his mind that Hanna might think that he was toying with her affections. He can come off so high and mighty but he's not overtly cruel and I think that her remarks opened his eyes! He jokes, but I don't think he sees himself as a Lothario!

Hanna has been the one pursuing him, and he keeps saying he's not interested and doesn't approve of her, so it's a little hard for me to see any fault in his behavior at this point. He looked baffled, and right now I don't blame him.

Oh, c'mon ... he does not correct her when she says she's his fiancee, he does not tell her to shut the heck up when she tells him his mother came to her in a dream and asked her to watch out for him, he goes and eats at her house and often joins her at the cafe downstairs, he kissed her in the kitchen (true it was more to show that he's more masculine/forceful than she, but still), he tells her she shouldn't sell her face (i.e. model). [modifed to change a mistake; I had sais "tells her she should sell her face" oops, nope he does not want her modeling]
Yes, she is more assertive, but he has been leading her on, if by no other way than by omission of not letting her go too far. Now, she flat out tells him to leave her alone and let her go by herself unless he intends to be with her, and he goes to the steam bath with her ... hmmm.
Plus, what Hannah doesn't see ... all those times he hesitates outside her front door, listens with great interest as the elders discuss how Hannah is so similar in temperament to his mother, etc.
Has the scene at the opening credits where she's in the bath, and he walks in and they both scream happen yet?

I think sangsik is really falling for Hana but does not realize it yet.IF kicking that door when he was leaving after hearing she is considering a marriage proposal isn't a typical reaction of a jealous man,I don't know what is. IF he let's Hana go,It would be the biggest mistake he has ever made.except for being lazy and not being a deep thinker,Hana is perfect.she is tender hearted, loyal trustworthy and honest.she would be a prize catch for any man,but she likes that idiot.

I see both your points of view, Ginny and Catalpa. The problem is that Hanna is calling him on his feelings, not his behavior, though she's acting as though his behavior is blame-worthy. She just knows that he really does like her but won't admit it, even though he has played it both ways. I recall many times when he told her harshly that she was not the type of woman he's looking for, criticized her severely, and told her to get lost. But he never follows through--she always manages to get under his skin again. So there is room for interpretation either way. I think Hanna's thought processes are kind of scrambled and she's scrambling his, too. Yeah, he likes her, but he's been resisting it from the beginning. A lesser woman (lol) would have taken no for an answer long ago, but because he still gives her the time of day and she can tell that she has in fact reached him in some way, she decides to spin it that he is the one playing her. And she has reason to believe it--maybe he is playing her in a passive way. But honestly, there really seems to be no way to get rid of her.

Yes, Catalpa, that scene in the bathroom happened when Sangsik drank too much and fell asleep on her couch, woke up, and half asleep walked in to use the toilet. They both screamed in horror for a while. They then yelled at each other-you didn't knock! you didn't lock the door! It's my house, we don't lock the door here! etc. You have lots of evidence there, Catalpa. You're right. He doesn't really try to keep distance between them, much as he talks about it. Just saw the rerun of Sat. episode- Sangsik IS leading her on but won't admit it- He doesn't approve of her, but likes her anyway. Maybe Yoonsik can draw him out, to discuss his feelings about her marrying Hosup. Sangsik asked about Chohee and Hanna's meeting. He would have liked to hear Chohee's view of Hanna's marriage proposal, but Hanna never mentioned it to her. He's definitely interested.

I know about the Turkish bath next to the train tracks. I didn't know it wasn't there, anyway There both playing games. She pursues him and he lets her, and now he gets mad because she asked his opinion. I think she did it to see his reaction, to see if he had a hint of emotion toward her. I think he is noticing he likes her but he doesn't want to acknowledge his feelings. But I'm happy she told him off because he is really rude to her and doesn't consider her feelings. You go Hanna! ;D

I'm confused. I caught one of the episodes this wknd and Sangsik and Hana were arguing with one another. What led to the argument?
