Ginny, it sounds like you're right-clicking instead of left-clicking on the smiley icon. Is that the case? You don't drag it, just left-click it and it should appear in the last place you left your cursor in your message. This is a mac, laptop I don't think it has two kinds of clicks--? I tried on the R side of click-bean, nothing different. It doesn't have a mouse. Thanks, tho. (one thing that was fun the other day was when none of the picture-things worked and there were verbal descriptions of the tags above the smilies, and the smilies were just punctuation marks. I should have copied all of them.)

I don't know what click-bean is, but can you click on the L side of it? Poor Yoonsik, here he is on his honeymoon and all we can talk about is emoticons.

What appears when you click is the ascii version (punctuation marks), so if you click on the smiley you don't see the picturing your reply box, you see ": )" (but w/o the space). Then the pic shows up in the actual post after you enter it. like this I'm on a mac, too, so I don't this the OS makes a difference, since you're using the website's features. I do have one quirky thing that happens when I click on a smiley, it puts the punctuation marks and then copies the whole post I've already typed in and I have to delete a bunch of text. That's why I don't use emoticons too often and when I do I usually key them in myself. Good luck!

Jenny, sounds like lurking is looked @ negatively. if so, i apologize t anyone offended cuz i've been lurkin on this board probably since Yellow Hankie was on. But I didn't really believe my comments were worth posting until recently! Since ALL of my friend REFUSED to watch the shows, I had to start venting/sharing my excitement!

No, jiminy, it's not looked at negatively! In fact, we wouldn't know if you were lurking, so lurk away! I think there's maybe a joking kind of "oh, you're bad, you're only lurking" sort of undertone, but that's only because it's so much fun to read everyone's comments. We're glad you came out of lurkdom.

CATALPA! I had the same problem. For some reason, with the new version of the Proboards website, Safari does that strange thing (recopying all text previously written). I use Firefox for *this* website, and Safari for everything else (they are both great web browsers).

Oh, and Jenny, you don't have to drag it or left click or any of that. Just take your mouse and click on the emoticon once.

It isn't bad, I know the name makes it sound criminal but it really isn't a negative thing. And welcome to the board! If you need any help with posting a picture by your name just ask me, I'll try and help you out. Thanks for the cheer, Luce! My dad's home and doing better.

this is a test of clicker on icon: again third fourth Didn't do anything with clicker, clicker plus control, clicker plus apple. No punctuation marks either, just upward jump of screen half the time.hmmm. (homemade) (handmade) :B (not the big grin) :E) not this either :B) nor this ok, I have a smaller list of choices
