All I have to say is: That's it ? I don't like that the weddings occupy all five minutes of airtime in these shows. Call me galacticchick, but I like seeing entire episodes dedicated to the wedding of major characters. God knows how long they spent talking about swimming trunks and how grandma would look in a bathing suit.

Are they sparing us all the religious ritual which would have to be translated? Kyung-wa and Cha's wedding seemed to consist of exchanging a ring and a fountain pen without any talking. Yoon-sik and Ji-yeun wrote invitations rather than vows, come to think of it. With Hyun-sik and Goeun, didn't they just bow to the guests? Is that all there is to a Korean wedding? And everyone seems to eat first. When my parents got married, I heard that it was 45 minutes that my uncles had to hold the gold crowns over their heads while they walked around the altar and I don't know what else.
I agree, Galacticchick, let us see more, especially since they are all dressed up. I'd like to see more of the hanboks.

Ginnycat, that must have been an Orthodox wedding, huh? I've heard about the crowns, and all I can say is, ME WANT! I'm with you guys, these weddings are like business meetings. And how did this wedding come about with no warning? Maybe I missed something (I doubt it; I watch these with a fine-toothed comb ), but it seems like they never actually said when the wedding was going to be. It just all of a sudden was.

Hold on, the discussion of how Grandma would look in a bathing suit is a very important topic. It should be thoroughly researched and discussed among peers, families, friends, etc. A whole episode should be dedicated to this and....wait...Yoon-shik and Ji-yeun got married?

Come to think of it, can anyone here remember an actual wedding being played out on a show, and if so, which one? They all seem to be in the nature of dream fantasies. Maybe it's a hallyu convention.

Dream, huh? I don't recall many of those scenarios. (Pronounced "she-na-ryoh," like in My Precious Child.) Maybe three years after the "wedding," Yoonsik is going to wake up in bed next to Suzanne Pleshette and say, "I just had the most bizarre dream, Emily!"
p.s. In English, of course.

Yeah, that bugs me. You blink and you miss the weddings. Nice Bob Newhart reference! Although it did seem like there will be a little more of the wedding on Friday from the previews, but probably mostly comical. And stupid (should I say silly b/c I don't think there was any malice) Hana! Why'd she kiss him like that?

LOL I can see it now, Friday's episode, 50 mins of the elderlies, 5 mins of Yoon-sik and Ji-yeun, and then 5 mins of Hana and Sang-sik...ok I'm exaggerating...3 mins of Yoon/Ji and Hana/Sang each...of course this is just a guess

Us "Elderlies" need time to discuss and think and complain and argue and --- by the time we get done with all that ... well, you young'ns are faster anyway so you don't need as much time as us old people ... LOL ..
