Well, let's see. The family is still shuttling back and forth talking to Yoonsik, who seems to be wavering. But he still says he won't take back his words. Turns out that going back on his decision and taking back his words is a big deal to him; he feels that if he says something, he should stand by it. Younger Grandpa has a talk with him down in Happy House, and he says that it's gone too far, that YS should put on the brakes. YS says, "I can't take it back even if I want to"--the first we hear that he might be regretting his deeds and words. After a little more talk, YS says, "Please put the brake on for me." That was a bit of a shocker! He is asking for someone to bail him out of this situation he has gotten himself into, and which he doesn't want anymore. His chance comes the next morning. The elders have talked, and they've decided that Grandpa can force him to get married--which wouldn't really be forcing, because they know YS is sorry about the broken engagement but needs to save face. They can do that by making it an issue of filial obedience. So Grandpa comes to breakfast all angry and says, "Do I have to eat this rice? I'm too angry." He says to Yoonsik that he thought they had raised him right, to value people and relationships, but basically that he's acting like a jerk. He gets up from the table and goes into the bedroom. Grandma follows and asks, "Do you mean that, or are you working on him?" Lickety-split, before you know it, Yoon-sik's voice comes through the door, and he says, "Grandpa, please eat. I will marry." Grandpa looks at Grandma and says quietly, "Was it so easy??" They slide open the door and YS is there on his knees with head bowed, and he says, "I'm sorry, Grandfather. Please eat. I will marry." Grandpa says he doesn't want to force him--that it's his heart and his life (and Ji-yeun's) that matter. But it's apparent that HS really does want to get married. Meanwhile, JY has decided that he really means it (the breakup), and that even though she understands her fault in all this, she doesn't want to marry him either if he can be so cruel to her. He is going down to talk to her when her door opens and she says she was just going upstairs to ask for the key to the basement, where her packing boxes are stored. He says he wants to accept her apology and marry her after all. She says, "No. It's expired. I will never marry you, even if my neck is pulled off. (I know, it didn't translate well.) Give me the key." He sort of puts her off, and then goes up supposedly to ask Grandpa for the key, but what he really wants is advice on what to do. Grandpa tells him, "Then you pull your neck off." I don't know what that means, but maybe it's like, do whatever it takes to get her back. YS goes back down and JY lets him in to talk, even though when he was mad at her he wouldn't talk to her. He says his piece, and she says hers, but she still refuses to marry him because he's two-faced (sweet/cruel). He says she's two-faced, too (beautiful and kind/cold and haughty). She says, "Yes, but I don't have two souls. I can't marry someone who can change so much and be so cruel. I am not careful with my words; what if I do the same thing in the future? I need a man who can support and understand me for who I am." He says, "It's a draw. You were at fault before and I'm at fault now. It's a draw. Let's marry." We're back to the old Yoonsik now. He's like "Ji-ji-ji-yeun, please." He says, what can I do to change your heart? Stand on my hands for two hours? Do 1,000 pushups? Hop around holding my nose?? She looks at him for a moment and says, "Do all of them." He asks, "Then will you marry me?" She answers, "I'll think about it." When last seen, Yoon-sik was hopping around her living room like a frog, holding his nose, while she stands watching. P.S. Oh, the night before, Ji-yeun's mother goes up to the elders' apartment and has a talk with them. She apologizes and explains about Ji-yeun's life, how she was the only child but always was responsible and smart and didn't need to be told twice what to do or how to act. So she really really hates being told what to do, which is why she got so mad at Yoon-sik. The elders also apologize to her (they of course think that Yoonsik was the first one to mention breaking up) for YS's faults. So the in-laws are on decent terms with each other.

Can't you still set up your VCR to record? Maybe you didn't have it on the right channel or something.

Well a major problem is that I have Direct Tv satellite and in order to watch CH 28 I have to shut off the satt and just have the TV on. Ordinarily that would not be a problem .. the problem arises when tuning in 28 - it doesn't always come in clear ... if I am sitting in front of the set, no problem, I can adjust the antennae and usually get a clear enough pix to read the subs. But lately when I have set the VCR to record, the stuff I get is so bad I can't read the subs and it looks as though there is a constant earthquake happening on screen LOL and ghosts - like 5 people instead of 1 ... I am considering buying another TV set for the satt and just using my small TV for CH 28. I will confer with my son-in-law, our tech specialist for all things computer/tv/vcr/dvd/etc. I am lucky that he lives upstairs and doesn't charge me for service calls LOL ..

Soapygrams, I got a small vcr/tv combo to tape the shows at my office, and it's just dedicated to channel 28 so it's pretty much on target as far as reception. (Pretty much.) This cost about $120, and it's been worth the investment.

I see why you wanted a summary instead now, soapygrams. Aigu! That's a lot of trouble to go through, I would definitely consider getting another tv. Unless you just leave the one you have for the satellite and then get a cheaper tv from a garage sale or something for channel 28.
