And who wouldn't want to be like Hana? LOL. She's such a pistol, but I love the way she just tells people her opinion of their actions, in some ways she's like third-floor grandma. Everyone has to do it her way. And also, they're both usually right, except when they judge their OWN actions. It's pretty funny to me. I loved the way she threw herself into the breach for Ji-yeun and Yoon-sik, trying to get them to see sense. She's an irritant, but she's a good person. (Not like you, Gal-ck. You're just a good person, eh? I'm the irritant, LOL.)

I've noticed the resemblances between 3rd-floor grandma and Hana. It's funny how that grandma is petulant, irritating, and demanding, but she also seems to have the best facility for judging character. I don't think she's made a wrong judgment yet. And that includes Cha; she hasn't really said he's got a bad character, and the bad things she's said about him are obviously out of anger and not well thought out. She's actually surprisingly tolerant when it comes to anyone besides her own daughters (and Cha). It's that awful, sour expression she always has on her face that drives me crazy. Man, does she look like a cranky old lady or what!

Hey! Toranaga might take you seriously, you bad girl. I might start calling you Hana. ;D Bo Posted by Lucy on Yesterday at 4:27pm Now galacticchick needs to shove toranaga and tell him she's "marked" him, then laugh really hard in his face. If she wants to really be like Hana, that is. You girls are too funny. Poor toranaga has run away from me now. No worries, I've got my scooter to catch up.

YOU do not have to follow me,I will let you know exactly where I am. OF course we will have to have an appearance of a courtship. then we can go to the BO A.K.A MEAN GRANNY #1 and Lucy as grouchy granny #2 for permission to eventually marry.I think I will have to come up with a suitable Illness to come down with to get permission.all hyunsik had to do was lay down sick for a couple of day's and not go to work,I think i will have to top that.

Maybe you could get one of those patentend "mysteriously high fevers". Then, you drink soju all day long while Bo and Lucy call you an "ungrateful bastard" because you're being disobedient. You keep staring out at the Han River and finally they consent to let us marry. But in an interesting turn of events I'll develop some tragic disease (read: cancer) and I only have 2 months to live.

Granny? Lucy, I think we've been zinged! (I'm not sure, though.)
I predict galacticchick will be an unsuitable DIL, due to her unseemly flippancy. If, however, she does come down with that tragic disease, I'll sit by her bed in the hospital daily (so no one will say it's my fault), even though the vaporizer will make my hair all frizzy and you know how much I hate that.

I'm taking all you girls to take a steam with me and scrub each others' backs. Toranaga can stay home pretending to be sick and eat instant ramen off the lid of the pot. I will give the appearance of approving galactic as a grand-DIL but click my tongue and "aigu" a lot, then have my appendix removed in an emergency operation (but I'll really be having my eyes done) so everyone feels sorry for ME and stops thinking about toranaga. There will be a bedside reconciliation where everyone brings me flowers and rice cakes with azalea petals in them and promises to be good. I think we've hit all the K-drama cliches now!

Hey, I really am going for a steam and body scrub next week! LOL. At that place advertised on KBC. Oh, and a massage ... with my m-i-l. I that hokey enough?? My m-i-l loves a good steam (she's Jewish, not Korean ; - ) and for her b-day I thought it would be fun for the two of us to go and get a massage as well. LOL

Oh how nice for you Catalpa! I hope you have your back scrubbed really good (for some reason they emphasize that on k-dramas) and that you come home nice and relaxed.

That sounds great. Do let us know what the place is like! What's the name of it? I don't remember seeing ads on KBC.
