This is a repost from General board "subtitles messed up..." thread. I'm moving this tangent over here, b/c I thought it was so funny. Aside from pure enjoyment one of the things I love about watching Korean shows is getting a glimpse of an entirely different culture ...

My response: Yes, I was fascinated by that, too! All I could make out is that the meat was done rare or med. rare, and "blood squirted out" and she found having a knife at the table scandalous.
I love learning these tidbits about other cultures! (And thanks for reminding of a question I had about another show ...)

I enjoyed the bit where she was struggling with the utencils. How refreshing to show how these small things impact one's life. It's a reciprocal thing to watching many Westerners struggling with chopsticks.
