Oh my gosh, he's the spitting image! This is bad too b/c Pete there always played a slimy little crook. Somehow I don't think that Yoon could undo that image. I know this is sort of weird, but I always thought Peter Lorre was attractive in a way when he was young. I liked his small stature and European, rather polished looks, even when he was playing creeps. (Sort of like Claude Rains, whom I also liked.) Cute bulgy eyes, like our "Chicken Eyes." Poor guy got typecast early on and was practically forced to become a caricature of himself. I hear that once or twice he played the guy who got the girl, but I never saw those films. Yes, my tastes are catholic. They include the metrosexual Jin-kook, the handsome and stoic Min-jae, and even the creepy psycho-killer Peter Lorre. Also Cary Grant, Johnny Depp, and many others. I think I saw a caricature of his on the Looney Tunes. Something 30s or 40s themed where he's a crook and he keeps saying "It's curtains for you"--is that the right guy?
It's all about the face with me: Rock Hudson, James Dean, Al Pacino (young Al Pacino), etc.
Pretty much a lot of the leading men from the 50s and 60s musicals.

I'm not sure if that's what he said, but I know "he" appeared in a Looney Tunes. I seem to remember him saying in that nasal, breathy voice, "yeesss, Boss." But that might be someone else. I'm recalling it from a distance of some decades.

Okay, we've got that particular cartoon on on DVD, but I remember it because I've seen it many, many times. So I can say, even without looking at it, that Peter Lorre breathes, "Yeeeesss, Boss," but the guy who says "It's curtains for you," was almost certainly Edward G. Robinson. Now that you mention it, there is a resemblance between the two of them. Very handsome in a Baltic way.

Robinson: Both were Jewish guys with stage names, like so many interesting actors from that period. Maybe what you're seeing is that Eastern European polish and intensity. EGR was supposedly a very cultured and gentlemanly man.

...Edward G. Robinson... was supposedly a very cultured and gentlemanly man. Yes, I've heard that, too! Completely typecast, like most of Hollywood...I have heard that Bogart was a sweetheart, and very meek. Who knew. Bo

I know, I know but Bugs and Tweety irritation the heck out of me. I will agree with you on Tweety, but Bugs is the cutest! His li'l cotton tail, his pigeonlike breast (reminds me of my cat's soft, white sternum area), his proclivity to cross-dress, his sassy humor--aww!

Peter Lorre also played an Asian detective, Mr. Moto.
