... still don't know the brothers's names). I have to disqualify myself from answering your speculation, but the three brothers all have names ending with "sik": 1) Yoon-sik 2) Hyun-sik 3) Sang-sik Yoon Hyun Sang himself sik. Bo

Ooh, great mnemonic! I agree with all points of the speculation, BTW. Now we just need to find matches for Quilting Aunt and Dad. IMO, Dad needs some very nice lady who will make a cozy home for him so he doesn't have to live in a room in his parents' apartment, and QA needs either a quiet man whom she can care for or an exciting man who will make quilting all day look far less appealing. Maybe a man who owns a folk-art gallery will stop by her cafe one day and sweep her off her feet. Besides, she needs to cultivate some new interests in preparation for the day when her eyesight fails from all that close work (any day now).

Obviously it'll be much easier for Quilting Aunt to find a man after her eyesight fails. Although he may have to get over her squintiness, she won't be too picky if she can't see him.
The mnemonic might actually help me remember the boys' names. Now I just have to learn names for all the OTHER characters in the show. How dare it have so many characters!

However, by "failing eyesight," I only meant that she would lose some ability (due to aging and overwork) wouldn't be able to do close work anymore. I don't foresee incessant quilting leading to much more than that. That could give rise to some cute situations, though--remember the guy in "Enchanted April" (if you saw that movie) who had terrible eyesight because of the war, and he couldn't see how "beautiful" (not IMO) the girl was and fell in love with her for other reasons instead? Quilting Auntie could have something like that happen to her . . . .

I feel sorry for her because she's is always getting yelled at by her mom (and now it seems everybody's joined in) for quilting so much. I liked her explanation for doing it though, "My hands get bored."

Soon she will be buried in quilts. I bet that beneath all the quited tablecloths there are about 5 more but she has to layer them because she's run out of spaces to put them. On the sofa backs, chairs, tables, floors, walls, ceilings. She should have a "free quilt with purchase" promotion to drum up business.

"QA" is kind of catchy. Hey, I saw the actress who plays that character's older sister on another (unsubtitled) show last night. I taped it by accident instead of MPC. BTW, what is going on with the broadcast times on that show? I keep setting my VCR for the usual time and it keeps missing it. Which is why I'm not posting this under the MPC thread--I don't want to see anything that might give away something I haven't watched yet. Has anyone who watches MPC noticed anything different, or is it just me? P.S. I can't believe she uses her extremely labor-intensive quilts as tablecloths! Each one is probably ruined almost as soon as she puts it down.

(Hah) No, really, it's Kyung-jo (I printed out my list from the top thread, but I'm starting to remember them). (Thanks to Toranaga for the heads up) Bo

Yet another reason to love them. If dainty = slow, then yes! Because then I can get to all the good stuff first.
