After seeing her in this show and then in YH, and now in this again, I am so struck by how good an actress Lee Tae-ran is.
The character of Ha-na is just like someone I know . . . except that I don't actually know anyone just like her! But the character is so well drawn that I feel I DO know her.

I agree soju about lee tae ran,her range as an actress is amazing, everything i have seen her in she is just great.
also after suffering thru the last 20 episodes of MPC it is good to see some solid acting and good writing once again.I can say without any doubt MPC is the worst drama i have ever seen bar none.

When i first saw her in this series, she was a complete 180 from her character in YH. When she was in YH she was more of the serious quiet types and now in WML she's this loud outgoing type of girl. talk about a range of excellent acting...

I love her in this show. She's so full of life, pretty and wonderfully dressed. I'm getting inspired to copy some of her outfits although I think I'll do without the braided hair because I would not be able to pull that off.

I was also shocked to see Lee Tae-ran acting as the character of Lee Ha-na because I was so used to seeing her as the quiet, shy, conservative Yoon Ja-young from Yellow Handkerchief. I also like Lee Ha-na because it's so fun watching her on the drama when she says and does funny things.

Yeah, she's great, I remember channel surfing and stopping to watch because she was playing a nun, I THINK it was a Drama City show, I thought I remembered it being subtitled, it also had Jin-Kook (from MPC).

she really changed as an actress after her sex scandal a few years back. she was daring to come back to the industry. props.

she really changed as an actress after her sex scandal a few years back. she was daring to come back to the industry. props. THAT was her? (ok, pedantically, that was SHE?) I didn't know. I like her a lot. I've noticed her doing a couple of things that show she's really creating a character. Like in one of this weekend's episodes, I think it was when Younger Granny was talking to the two girls, Granny directed a comment to Ji-eun (sp?) and Ha-na did this little "double-gun" finger-pointing thing, like "over you to, babe." I got a kick out of that. I really like both those young women now that they've stopped screaming at their mothers and saying rude things to them. "Feisty and loud" is one thing and can be fun; "mean and spoiled" is another.

I got a kick out of that. I loved that part too ;D! Ha-na is so fun to watch. She has that charismatic charm about her. Even though she seems immature at times, she's so goofy and loveable at the same time! she really changed as an actress after her sex scandal a few years back. she was daring to come back to the industry. props. What happened?

In answer to those who want to know about Lee Hye-ran's "sex scandal," what I know is this: She was having an affair with her manager. I don't know if he was married or not, but apparently, this is tantamount to having an affair with your boss and is very much looked down upon. She was apparently shunned by the industry for awhile, but fought her way back enough to land this role (Ha-na), which paved the way for YH.
I probably have all that mixed up, I'm sure Bae or someone can clear it up better.

Lee TAE-ran was involved romantically with her manager who was married at the time and it was said that she slept with him in order to get into the industry, which has never been confirmed. she at first denied, but later went public. although it was advised for her to do so. she got the role of hana though after YH...which is weird....cuz they aired as WML and then YH...but i could be wrong on that....

What fun! I just found a blurb on a past page of Korea Times that said Lee Tae-ran (Ha-na) was in a theatre production of "Educating Rita" last year. She played Rita. I would link to it, but it's not worth it; that's all the information there was, except the name/location of the theatre and such.

Thanks, Bae, I think between the two of us, we've got lots of "I could be wrongs" but the important info came through, LOL!

I'm glad that she fought her way back. She's spunky and fun in this show.
I know I'm probably wrong, but I want to ask if anyone else thinks Hana's going to date the youngest brother (while the middle one marries Goeun after long travails and the older one marries Jiyeun - still don't know the brothers's names).
