Pardon my spelling of the youngest brother's name, but what did he say in the cafe to Ji-eun at the end of Friday's eppy that set everyone off? Sorry this is so late, I'd appreciate any info.

If you remember earlier in the episode when Grand Aunt (the cranky one) was accusing the oldest son (forgot his name so I'll refer to him as Chicken Eyes) as being homosexual and Chicken Eye's response back to her was that he'll marry the first woman he saw to prove that he's not gay...I guess Sang-shik didn't catch the sarcasm there, so when he saw the ladies and his brother sitting at the table, he thought that his brother was doing what he said he'd do, which was to marry the first woman he saw, so Sang-shik runs over to the table excited and started asking whether Chicken Eyes would be marrying her or something like that, which is what set everybody off, I think he was also trying to help his brother too.

Thanks so much! I didn't see the eppy Friday, but I remember that scene between Grand Aunt and chicken eyes from before. Thanks again!

Well, Bae, since I think he's annoying right now, I don't think we can say that's a spoiler, LOL.
So, I taped Episode 3 on Friday night instead of Monday morning, and the stupid thing (station, not VCR) had the first minute or so cut off--they all were yelling at Downstairs Grandma for calling Yong-sik "gay" but it was the middle of the conversation when the show started. I'm going to tape this Friday night and next Monday morning, and see if I can determine which is giving us the least cuts. I remember being irritated by the choppiness (obviously in the cutting, not the original series) the first time I saw it.

Annoying? During his coming relationship with mmmmph you just want to slap him around and say, "Wake up! Can't you recognize the inevitable?" Of course, if he did, there'd be 1/5th less story

There is still a spoiler in the message just previous to yours. Yuck. Can we institute a "two strikes and you're out" policy or something?

Is it a spoiler if was just reporting an ad that was broadcast? I think it might be, Soju, if the ad told something about what happens eventually to certain characters. For instance, there is one ad I'm dying to talk about, that I saw years ago, but I'm going to wait until that part of the show airs this time. Bo

I had actually replied to that post, but then thought I gave away too much, so I deleted my post as soon as I got up the next morning.

I don't know how many times I've either posted a message or pm'd someone, and thought, OOF! I shouldn't have said that. (Usually it's just my goofy sense of humor or my pedantic writing style, though, not spoilers.) Then I can't sleep until I fix it. Bo

Fortunately, most of those posts get sent late at night, so they're not read by that many folks . . .
Except for the Jang-geum crowd in Malaysia: when it's night here it's daytime there.
I guess one should be careful, you never know who, where, or when someone is reading what you just wrote.
