Medic U-Jin Kim Young-Im in IYSS has breast cancer. It was first diagnosed awhile ago. Since the cancer occurred at such a young age (she is 28 years old), its progression was fast, although Young-Im has been very brave dealing with it. She is currently in Il-San National Cancer Center but is in bad condition, having a hard time even swallowing food.
How sad - even before she has fully blossomed, she is holding onto the thin thread of life. Please have her in your prayers.
Young-Im, we admire your brave fight. Please be strong and don't lose your faith. Please remember there are still many people who think of you. You are and will always be remembered as strong, kind, always ready to help others, and as the warm-hearted good daugher from IYSS. God bless you.

According to Kim Young-Im Side, she felt a bump during a shower in January of this year 2007 and went to the hospital. After exams, she was told that she has stage 3 breast cancer and that the cancer tissue has already spread into her armpits.
She has been undergoing cancer treatments, and currently, due to the treatments, she has symptoms of vomiting and dizziness. Once the cancer tissue is under control, she plans to have surgery.
It is said that she is accepting this possibly depressing fact of 'removing the breast of an actress' with optimism and is dealing with the whole situration bravely and cheerfully at her best.
