 related article (in Korean)Actor Seo Young-jin who played the Japanese samurai Kuki Yoshitaka in "The Immortal Yi Soon-shin" died at the age of 48 on Mar. 15th, 2006. I didn't know why Kuki Yoshitaka disappeared suddenly from the drama. Now I know that he had to quit his job because he was diagnosed having stomach cancer last June. His cold turned into pneumonia this year.  May his soul rest in peace. |

I can't believe Seo Young-jin is dead! That guy was awesome!! He just seemed to be the calm guy who wanted to smack those other psychotic samurai upside the head "Soprano"-style and say "Shut up! I'm in charge here!"

;)Thank you for the info - too young to die. The info you gave sure reminds us of all the wonderful actors in the Yi Soon Shin drama. Hope the historical dramas will come again to the states.

He was only 48? He seemed older in the series. Not that much older, just...older.
It's a shame that such a great actor died. Everyone on this show is a great actor. Does anyone else know what work he did?
