2nd pic is dead but the rest showed up. Yuk for Britney Spears & Guus Hiddink. I think the Nicholas Cage pic would also turn out bad. Just as asians would look very out of place should they be wearing western medieval clothing, the Korean hanbok doesn't go well with caucasians. The last is the best.

I agree. The last is the cutest.
I don't agree that people can't wear each other's "native dress" though. I think it shows respect for that country and also it can be fun. There's no harm in it, and people don't look "funny"--that's just our preconceptions. I don't think an Asian person would look odd in Western medieval dress; people used to wear "native" clothing when visiting each others' countries all the time. Especially if the climate is very different.

I didn't say they look funny. ;D Just out-of-place, especially when colours clashed.
The NC pic appeared & it doesn't look as bad as the other 2 (his wife has something to do with it ;D). If he wants to wear the costume, he might as well get himself a kat. ;D

Sora, thanks for all the inspirational pictures (as in, I wish I could wear them)! What kind of hat is the little girl (with the shoes off) wearing? And the girl with the fur vest, is she wearing a headband? Is this headgear for children only, or do women wear them? I love dressing up, if only in my fantasies.

What kind of hat is the little girl (with the shoes off) wearing? It's called 'jobawi' and it's a type of winter cap. No, not just for little girls, although I can't picture a grandmother wearing it

Kat is a traditional Korean hat made of stiff horsehair and worn by male aristocrats during the Chosun period. A photo of Choko from Ep. 78 of IYSS. Captain Chung Wun's father is waring a kat and a white dopo (formal coat). Sora, you're a great specialist of headgears. I didn't know bae-ssi-daeng-gi.
