W O W ;D thanks so much for posting these gorgeous dolls/photos I am a big fan of historical dramas and originally got hooked on them because of the beautiful costumes ;D Have been researching fashion/textile history for almost 30 years... but until seeing Emperor Wang Guhn, Age of Warriors and now IYSS... knew very little about Korean traditional clothing ...in the last 3 years I have been doing much research on Korean hanbok etc... and will eventually have one or more made... Looking forward to more great photos... Betz betz.mc@verizon.net

BEAUTIFUL dolls.... I went to their website ... and have been there before. At some location on this board someone recommended the book A Single Shard ... which prompted me to learn more about Celadon pieces. this site has a lovely selection of gorgeous items... in a wide range of price ranges. Thanks for the posting.

I am interested in Hanbok, so I have many kinds of Hanbok photos. I`ll introduce you Hanbok in Joseon Dynasty also those of in Goguryeo, Baekje and so on.. Hanbok in Joseon is likely to be simple while other Dynasties are not. (Beacause a life of luxury was denied under the influence of Confucianism that time. In addition, It was allowed to build a single story-building and less than 99 rooms exept the king)

Folkways Patterns has a pattern for hanbok, both skirt and jacket (and maybe the man's version). I started making the jacket, but I altered it so it would be long, like the kitchen ladies on Dae Jang Geum, and I thought I would put a pocket in the lining. Have made the lining and the outer layer of the front and back so far, now I have to take a deep breath and get to the collar, etc.
