I don't really take it to heart. It's more of a guy thing that I have seen. Last year it was all about Sosa. I wonder who will be their target to bash this year? We'll have to wait and see. HAHA!! Oh don't worry, It started already. Some Cubs fan are already pissed at Kerry Woods, the manager, Burnitz for replacing Sosa, etc. P.S. WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Three in a row baby. Lets Go Mets!!!

I'm glad to see Sosa doing OK where he is. Kerry Wood is way to unpredictable. Plus he's a hothead. He did pretty bad yesterday. I don't have any hopes of anything big happening for the Cubs this year (again).
On a better note. The 2005 football schedule is out already. YOHOOOO!

If Prior holds up, you never know what could happen. That guy is the second coming of Sandy Koufax when he's healthy. Wood is what he is. If people would stop expecting a Cy Young out of him, they wouldn't be so disappointed, and Zambrano is great also. I think you can safely expect a good year from the Cubs. They may have lost Sosa, but he's not what he used to be. Mets are scratching the close ones out Skinz. Winning these types of games is a good sign I think! As far as football goes, this is where you Chicagoans and I will diverge. I've been a Vikings fan since I was 9 years old. So "Da Bears" are not on my favorite teams list, to say the least. The schedules are out though, so let the projections begin. All the best to you Bears fans.

Prior's main problem is he gets injured easily. Zambrano is doing great so far. It IS still very early in this long season.
It HAS been 20 years since the last Bears superbowl championship. Last season was my first live football game at Soldier Field and it was on my Bday. I'll probably go this coming season because there is a game on my Bday this season also. I was always a Dolphins fan but the Chicago in my makes me a Bears fan.

This reminds me of a post I read. Someone had said that Stoney had better stop his negative comments, or Cubs players might punch him. The response was that that could happen, but if they did, they'd hurt their shoulders and elbows doing it.
I agree that Sammy is a smaller factor these days. He was poorly motivated last year, in general. I'll be surprised if he hits better in Baltimore. I think Zambrano has become very confident and may win 20 this year. Prior is OK right now, so we'll hope he doesn't relapse. I feel bad for Kerry Wood. He's obviously at loose ends. He looked ill the other day. Skinz-- another win for the Mets! Seven Stars-- What's with that Red Sox fan? He should have gone to the Pokey.

The guy was a dope. You don't interfere with a live ball game. It shows the degree to which some people take their fanaticism. I don't blame Sheffield for being angry with the guy. That was ridiculous. Imagine if his actions cost the Sox those runs, or even the game. He would look even worse. I think you Cubs fans know a little bit about dopey fan interference during live games, don't you.

The thrill of agony and the victory of defeat? Yes, I remember something about that.

It's that sandwich commercial. After the commercial, Joe Torre did eat the rest of Willie Randolph's hero, which had been specially laced with Magic is Back mojo. This is highly debilitating, and it's been said that after eating it, Torre wandered dazed into the Shea home dugout, where flashbacks rendered him to the fetal position. Fortunately, he was lured back to reality by Jerry Grote's family, waving an industrial-sized jar of Gulden's under his nose. The mojo has been contagious, and lives on.

Failing to trade Kevin Brown for a cheese sandwhich, I propose we trade managers. Torre back to the Mets (where he managed so skillfully in the late 70's) and Randolph back to us (where he did so well in the late 70's, 80's, etc.). We'll cover the difference in salary and throw in (or is it throw out?) Brown.

I'm going to the Mets v Phils at Citizens Bank Field tonight. I'm excited because it's only my second time there. It's really a great place to watch a ball game. Unfortunately the field is a bit undersized, so the ball really jumps out of that park. Anyway, I'll be thinking about you Mets fans as I watch the Amazin's tonight !

Well, Cliff Floyd sure did make it interesting with that three run shot to the upper deck in the ninth. And believe me, he destroyed that thing. The Phillies got away with that one though.

Well, it was good while it lasted.
6-7, I can live with that.
The main problem I see now is the hitting. Those Mets are not hitting one bit. Wright is trying to much to pull it when its obvious pitchers are throwing away, Reyes and Matsui are both looking horrible at the plate with no discipline, and Piazza is just struggling. As long as we make it through the month at .500, I'm be calm and cool.
What about look at those Dodgers? They're looking pretty good and the White sox are in good shape.
Does anyone root for the Rockies? Cause if you do, I suggest to forget this month. 2-10 and 8 games back. Ouch!!!!

Skinz, That Burrell homer fell three rows in front of me. I was on sportscenter... ...okay it was only for about 2/3 of 1 second, but I was still on there with my friends. By the way, I think that Piazza is starting to put it together. However, Reyes and Matsui have been dissappointing thus far. What's the over/under on how many weeks before Wright moves up in that lineup?
