Ahh... 1986... "The Year the Bad Guys Won" I believe that's how it's remembered isn't it? ID is also a Mets fan guys. The three of you better be hoping they can get that bullpen in order! All the best.

I guess Seven Stars is a Red Sox fan. 1986 was absolutely the best. What a great ending, too. That whole year was a series of cliffhangers, but the Mets came from behind often. Last year's Red Sox were exciting too. Go Cubs!

With Nomar and all the other fine players on the Cubs, I feel that there is no reason why the Cubs shouldn't win a championship, Chigirl. Moreshige, when the Mets have "a good chance" we'll know it. The few good players they have now can't carry the team. It reminds me of when they got George Foster. Remember "The Magic is Back"? You remember that, don't you. That's when they put that stupid hat out there where the apple comes up. It used to say "Mets Magic" on it, but they changed it to say "Home Run", and that's even dumber. Go Cubs!

I know, the Mets are buillding their team but going in the right direction. And yeah, they have to work on their bullpen. It almost feels like 1984 or 85.... I would like to see the Cubs win one too but not at the Mets' expense. If the Mets don't do well this year and if we see hope for the Cubs, then why not Cubs all the way? That would be redemption for that poor Cubs fan who interfered with an out a couple of years ago during the playoffs. And at least, he wasn't a Red Sox fan....and imagine if he did that at Fenway.

Wow, that "The Magic is Back" stuff really raised welts. Sorry, Moreshige. I Promise that I'll root for the Mets if the Cubs don't win some other year. I'm afraid I may seem rude, but the Cubs are plenty due, you must admit. My grandfather immigrated in 1914 with his wife, and made his way to Chicago, where he was a tailor. My mother told me of him taking her to the Cubs games. She, like many others, hoped that she would see them win a World Series before she died. It wasn't meant to be. I am not getting any younger. Why not go to the Dutchess County Fair this year. I won't tell anyone.
