Well, we've had thoughts that Joon-sang could either be Yu-jin's half brother or Sang-hyuk's half brother. What is shocking me is that I'm seeing that it makes more sense for Joon-sang and Yu-jin to be half siblings ! Here are my reasons: 1) Mi-hee told Joon-sang that she was inlove with this man in her younger years, but he passed away. 2) When Joon-sang was meeting with Sang-hyuk's dad, he told him that his dad appears to have passed away. 3) Mi-hee told Yu-jin's mom that Joon-sang and Yu-jin CANNOT enter into marriage. But finally, there is hope for us Joon-sang and Yu-jin together forever fans: when Sang-hyuk's dad was on the phone with Mi-hee, he asked her if Joon-sang was his son. But Mi-hee said it was none of his business. Yet, she had that drained expression on her face...same when she saw him again outside her dressing room at the piano recital. There is definitely some kind of connection between Mi-hee and Sang-hyuk's dad.

Well, why would Sanghyuk's dad think that Joonsang might be his son unless he had had sex with Mihee? And if that was the case, how can Mihee be sure that Joonsang's dad is in fact Yujin's dad?
All Mihee told Joonsang is that she was in love with another man, but that he passed away. That doesn't rule out Sanghyuk's dad as Joonsang's father.
I can't guess why Mihee told Yujin's mother that Yujin and Joonsang could not marry--did she really explain it to Yujin's mother, or did she just hint at it?
Maybe we'll find out tonight?
Now, if they were in America, they would just go on the Maury Povich show and get their DNA tested. Hah!

I think that Mihee is being lied to. She was led to believe the possiblility that J. was fathered by her husband. Why should she believe that Kang woman? That lady lied to her own son for years by implanting phony memories in his brain. I think that she is also lying to Sang Hyuk's father. I think that he is J.'s real father which would make Sang Hyuk his half brother which would be a great way to end the program. By the way, SangHyuk really redeemed himself to me and brought honor to his character by telling J. to marry anyway. He was so honest when he said that if it were him he would just run off. I think he would have. What a great episode. Superb acting all around. Supporting characters great too. I really like the guy who works for J. He should get together with the gal who works at Polaris with Yujin.

You've made some very good points LOVELY... in all these meetings the words were never stated.
... and BUNGALOWDWELLER, Your comment is right ON! "That lady lied to her own son for years by implanting phony memories in his brain" I'm holding out for the half-brother connection. Mom could be in great denial because she wants very badly to believe that Joonsang is from the mad she was engaged in... to admit an affair with Sang-hyuk's dad could be really messy. Perhaps the little trollup cared for both the men ... enough, at least to have sex with both of them.
And Sang-Hyuk truly played a wonderful character ... let's hope they're brothers so SH might buy a new scarf for Joonsang.
Bring on Mr. Povich!

I'm wishing for these words: Maury Povich, "In the case of Kang Joon-sang, Jung Hyun-soo you are NOT the father....Kim Jin-woo you ARE the father." In Episode 22, when Joon-sang went to see his mother, he asked her if Jung Hyun-soo was his father and all Mi-hee could say was, "I'm sorry, Joon-sang." So what is going on here ?! I am pretty sure that Mi-hee did have a get together with Sang-hyuk's dad at one time. Possibly the time when he saved her from drowning herself as Yu-jin's mom said. Mi-hee must know who Joon-sang's real father is, but is not saying anything. If Yu-jin and Joon-sang are NOT half siblings, I could see why Mi-hee wouldn't want them to marry. She can't stand the fact that her daughter-in-law would be the daughter if the man who broke off their engagement together to be with another woman who happens to be her daughter-in-law's mother.

YES YES YES!! it's all coming clear. It's so much easier to have Joonsang think his father is dead. Her entire life was lived as a lie. There's just too much unspoken emotion when Sang-hyuk's father speaks with Mi-hee ... like he seems to really WANT to be Joonsang's father because he did care so much for Mi-hee.
my my.... everyone gets a new scarf.

Well I definetely don't think that Yujin and Joonsang are brothers there is no way!!!!!!!! I mean obviously Mihee slept with Sanghyuks' father. How would she know for a fact that Yujin's dad fathered Joonsang? I think the reason why Mihee doesn't want Joonsang to marry Yujin is because it's to painful for her to see her son marry the daughter of the love of her life.
Anyways Joonsang is the most adorable guy ever!!!!! I nearly cried when him and Yujin were in the church praying and he started praying for him to be a good husband and for their kids. That was such an emotional part!!!! And Yujin seems to be so happy and talkative. When she was with Sanghyuk she was never like that. But with Joonsang she seems to be so different, she seems to be herself again. Like she was when she was 16, just happy and free. They are just so cute together.

I wholeheartedly agree Alexa - I just loved the English translation Sanghyuk said he wanted to provide children that looked like him, but Joonsang said "I want to have children with her eyes" - "I want to be a strong arm and leg to my beloved and my family" (or the like) And isn't that the wish of us all - no matter who we are or where we live in the world? This series has been such a good reminder of that. I especially loved the gentle way they played in the snow .... sigh

The thing that's so great to me about Joonsang is that he's very sensitive. He's not one to take anything for granted. Even though he is rich and adorable, he is not spoiled and truly appreciates love and knows how to give it. It's good to see they are leaving the question of JS's paternity open for now. It seems very likely that JS and SH are half-brothers. Mi-hee's saying "I'm sorry" to JS could mean, "I'm sorry you're wondering about this, and I really don't want to talk about it, but it's a real shame you're illegitimate. Sorry, I don't know either, and you're not getting an answer from me." It seems possible to me that she wants to believe that JS is the son of Yu-jin's father--because he's the one she loved--and doesn't want to know if he's really Sang-hyuk's father's son. Now- Dun-dun-DUN!! Did anyone notice something wrong in, was it Friday's episode? Did you see when Joon-sang went to see Cherin, and as he was leaving, he had a bit of a "spell"? My heart sank when I saw him stop and hold his head for a second, as if there were something wrong with his head. I swear, if he ends up dying . . . . That would be SO depressing!!! But you know it's like in old movies, whenever someone coughs you know they're going to have a fatal disease. I will be watching carefully, and if it looks like he's going to croak, I'll tape the episodes but won't watch them for a while.

Yeah, what if he developed a brain tumor from all that rattling his brain has taken!!?!! This better not be like "Dark Victory" (Betty Davis), or the tv series "Beauty and the Beast" (Ron Perlman)!!! I much prefer "Random Harvest" or "Dark Passage" (Humphrey and Lauren) - battered, bruised and skinned - but together!!!..........

Yes, I too noticed the head thing.... but I interpreted it that he was having a flashback memory. i never even thought of his possible demise!
The church scene was exquisite. I'm really hoping that the writer for Joonsang's role is a man. how wonderful it would be to know there's a man that really came up with those lines!
I'm having a dinner party next Saturday and will be anxious for my guests to leave so I can see EP 23. I guess I need a life because the people I'm entertaining are just wonderful... I'll just have to drink a couple glasses of wine between 8:00-9:00 to relieve my anxiety.
Perhaps it's time to call in Barry Scheck, the DNA guy /the OJ trial.

Oh, maybe you're right. I am getting hypersensitive to any hints that this might not turn out the way I want . . . I should have a little faith that they won't break the hearts of Joon-sang lovers everywhere.
