Does anybody recall a couple of episodes back when Madam Kang first arrived back in Korea, before she even left the airport, she made a call to somebody (identity unknown) and about all she said was "How is Joonsang doing?" What are we to make of that?

I think it just means that she is talking to someone who knows the whole situation with Joonsang and is reassuring her that he still thinks he's Min-hyung. LOL. Even though she lives in the States, she probably has people back in Korea who keep an eye on her son and make sure that he's well-adjusted and happy. Well, as well-adjusted as an amnesiac who's living a lie can be.

What are we to make of that? Well Minhyung is definetely Joonsang. How it all ties together we don't know yet. Like I had said previously it's so weird that he seems to remember a life that he never had. But for sure we know that Joonsang never died, he somehow got amnesia and is now Minhyung. And his mother is probably lying to him because she doesn't want to tell him the truth about his father.

At first I thought that the person she called was the man on his bike that she thanked (I thought he helped with the "transition), but since I found out that he saved Joonsang from drowning instead, I have no idea who she could've talked to. He hasn't had any contact with anyone in particular that would know. Why haven't they introduced this mystery character yet??

So the man on the bike was the man who saved Joonsang from drowning when he was 7 years old. Didn't that man ask her how her son was doing? So he obviously doesn't know that Joonsang supposedly died. So if he knew who Minhyung's mom was, he would probably tell Minhyung that his mom did indeed have a son named Joonsang. And eventually everything would be figured out. Minhyung is already starting to have doubts about who he is and whether or not his mom had another son.

When I posted my initial inquiry, I didn't know that Minhyung was in fact Jangsoon suffering from amnesia. In fact, that episode has not yet aired in Chicago (maybe tomorrow night), so those of you who replied have let the cat out of the bag.
My thought at the time was that they were in fact twins who had been raised separately. But that didn't make a lot of sense and I got to that conclusion mainly because of the phone call.
Another scenario that I considered was that Jangsoon had come back as Minhyung and that he was perpetrating a fantastic hoax, wanting to split up Yujin and Sanhyuk in order to get retribution against his father, whether Yujin's father or Sanhyuk's father. But that seems so out of character for Minhyung, whom we are led to believe is sensitive, honest, concerned, etc.
Finally, I considered the amnesia angle. I know nothing of the treatment of amnesia, but wouldn't you suppose that treatment would at the very least try to reestablish the amnesiac's former identity instead of creating a new one? And why doesn't Minhyung show any of the same curiosity as Jangsoon about who his father was or anything about his former life. Will time tell?

If I'm correct, Lucy, Alexa & hachiue are watching this drama for the first time. Based on what they've watched so far they think that Min Hyung must definitely be Joon Sang.

Chi8, I also live in Chicago and no they haven't actually shown a episode showing that Jangsoon and Minhyung are the same person. But based on different things throughout the show, that is what alot of us are assuming. We might be right, or we might be wrong. We'll know the truth eventually.

I find it odd that he had this accident that left him w/amnesia and yet there are no physical signs (that we know of yet) that would indicate that he was indeed in a big accident. No scars, no old broken bones, etc.

We all just have overactive imaginations. Sorry if we led you to believe otherwise! And elee, I forgot completely about the doctor! He's obviously the one that she called since he knows *and* is willing to keep it hidden from the man JS/MH (or is it MY?) himself. I'm sure if he did have any scars or broken bones, there's some manufactured story for why he has them. Maybe he thinks he really did get into some sort of accident ten years ago, but maybe he thinks it was a boating accident, or a near-drowning, or some sort of virus (that causes scars and broken bones, yeah).

Madam Kang's doctor. In one of the previous episodes she faints. And her doctor is there with her. Minhyung asks him something (can't remember if it was whether Madam Kang had more kids or whether Minhyung was born in the US) anyways the doctor looks kinda nervous and says No. To me that doctor looks pretty suspicious and must know something.
