Didn't she though when she dated Joonsang? Also, she never held hands with him when they were younger. I think that she just believed the adage that they mentioned in the show, that women always "fall back on" loving the men who love them first.
He's just in denial. More importantly, when's Jinsook going to date Mr. Dog Groomer?

Wait...didn't Sanhyuk say that the reason Yujin loved Joonsang is that he's the one that found her first when she was lost in the woods. I remember that part. Is that the adage you are referring to? If not I might be thinking about something different than what you're saying.
p.s. You read my mind re: Jinsook & dog groomer!

I get the characters confused: Didn't Yujin's little friend have a boyfriend in high school, too? I thought he was still in the picture. And is Jinsook a "new" character or another friend from their group in high school? Where did the vet/groomer come from--i.e., Jinsook drops off the dog one day and gets to talking to him who gets really familiar with her and makes fun of her for being a spinster who has a dog instead of a man, then we find out he's also friends with Sanghyuk and Yujin, or did they all know each other already? . . . it's all so complicated!

I get the characters confused: did they all know each other already? Lucy, they're all the same people from high school. Wait...didn't Sanhyuk say that the reason Yujin loved Joonsang is that he's the one that found her first when she was lost in the woods. Well, that's just Sang Hyuk's way of looking at it. He feels that if he had found her first maybe she would've loved him and not Joon Sang. If she would have told him since the beginning that she just doesn't have those types of feelings for him, he would have to move on. I don't think he'd just let her go though. Yujin's biggest problem is that she's indecisive and she puts other people's happiness first. She's one of those people that if enough people tell them "The world is flat", they'll start to believe it's true. Everyone around her thinks she should be with Sang Hyuk so she's convinced herself that being with him is a good thing, even if she's not in love with him.

sanghyuk is like many of us... we have these high school crushes who don't seem to care for us...but, the thing about him is he's too insecure... he always makes it out to seem that he is the ultimate lover and that no one can compare to him... that's wrong. and if yugin is talking to minhyung, it automatically means that she's having some sort of a side relationship with him. that's not only suspicous behavior on his part, but it also makes him out to look like a jerk, when he isn't, to yugin. the one people should really be worried about is chelin. she cares for no one but herself. and to her, that's all she needs. i mean, she only was w/minhyung to flaunt him in front of yugin's face...but look what ended up happening... sad isn't it? life is just a bunch of circles.
ps: yugin does not like minhyung for having similar facial features as joonsang. she likes him for the attention he gives her like giving her rides and trying to lift up her spirits and encouraging her to let out her emotions... unlike everyone else who just makes her suppress everything she's feeling. she likes him for being understanding. he's the one person she doesn't have to ask to be understanding...and i think she's gratefully in love with him.

I'm still confused. All of them knew each other in H.S.? Who's the vet? And Yu-jin's boss? What happened to the boyfriend of Yu-jin's little friend who's now working in Cherin's shop--is he the vet?
thanks, Lu

The vet (cant' remember his name) is a friend of Sanghyuk and Yujin. They were all friends in high school. The vet, Sanghyuk, Yujin, Cherin (if you could call her a friend) and Jin-sook (Yujin's roommate) who now works for Cherin.
I think Jin-sook has always liked the vet, but he's never showed any interest in her.
Oh and the lady that works with Yujin, I think they met at work. I don't remember seeing her in the high school episodes.

Oh, thanks, Alexa. I thought that Yujin's old friend (roommate) did have a boyfriend in HS, because they seemed to go around together all the time, and I remember that she once said something about how she and that guy made a couple as did Sanghyuk and Yujin. So he's the one who became a veterinarian? And we think that he's going to end up dating Yujin's coworker, because he makes fun of her all the time for being a spinster and so forth, right?

I do think he's going to end up liking Yujin's co-worker because he's always making fun of her, talking about her etc. Which makes me feel bad for Jinsook, because she seems to like him, but he doesn't notice it.

Sanhyuk really needs to start taking "NO!" for an answer regarding Yujin. He did seem much nicer earlier on, but definitely wants his own way now ( this was especially evident with the public engagement announcement, in spite of her backing away from the idea of marrying him).
I think that the show is really getting interesting now, and I won't seek out the spoiler threads on it.

Oh I forgot completely about the coworker. Yes I suppose the vet will date her instead. But perhaps Yujin's male coworker will date Jinsook?
Yujin also needs to give (or better yet, mail) her ring back to Sanghyuk. That would be a great way to let him know (and everyone else since she won't have it on anymore) that they're over. I keep thinking that as long as she doesn't do that, she's not committed to the idea of breaking up with him.

I was thinking maybe Yujin's co-worker might end up dating Minhyung's co-worker. Since they're always together, maybe they'll start falling for each other.

I caught episode 11 yesterday and I've got half a mind to change the name of this thread. That was really cowardly of him to try and force himself on Yujin. And then he expects it to be fixed w/a lousy I'm sorry?
It exasperates me that Yujin still won't give him a straight answer. All she does is stare into space when he asks her why it is over. She should just say that she doesn't love him, and if he doesn't have to be in a loving relationship, that's good, but she does.
I was surprised when at the end of this episode, when Sanghyuk tells her that he's been the only one loving in their relationship, she actually tells him that that isn't true. I don't know about you all, but that's exactly what it seems like to me. I don't think she's ever loved him as a man, I think her love for him has always stayed as that of a close friend.

I agree with you. I don't think she's every loved him as a man. There was an episode where Sanghyuk asks her who does she love and she couldn't answer him. If she truly loved him, as a man, as her fiance, she would've told him. But she couldn't. She's known him all her life, they've been friends for so long, the love she has for him is that of a friend. There is another episode where he is dropping her off at home and he is about to give her a kiss on the lips and she turns away and starts laughing. She couldnt kiss him. Which I don't understand why Yujin would go along with the whole marriage thing this long. She knows she doesn't love him, and yet she was his fiance. I'm glad she has finally opened her eyes. Better now than after the marriage.

Sanghyuk deserves no pity whatsoever!
I almost felt bad for him when he supposedly went all suicidal. However, my first hint of his evil jerkiness came when he took advantage of Yujin by hugging her when she showed up and was upset that he took out his glucose drip and tried to kill himself. But I was willing to let that slide without hating him anymore than I already did.
But the final straw came when he went to work and his coworker said "Welcome back. Wow, you pulled all of your vacations together. An outsider would have thought that you quit." So it was all a ruse after all! I hate him so much! He's such an evil little twit!
