My heart breaks for poor Sanghyunk (sorry I'm just getting into the discussion, but I had to catch up with these episodes). He's so nice, so loving. "I'm grateful just to have you in my life." *swoons* I keep hoping that if they're going to show the character dumping her incredibly sweet fiancee that they actually give a reason - like make him rob a store or embezzle or hit her or something. But I guess that the way they do it makes it more poignant - since she really would be better off staying with loving Sanghyuk instead of leaving with emotionally-distant (comparatively) Joonsang.

Same sentiments here about the unexplained plotholes. Hopefully they will be filled in and not be another missing wad of cash a la Phoenix. I'm with ya, g-chick....Also, to me, the manipulating, sneaky and scheming shenanigans of Miss Cherin are starting to remind me so much of Phoenix's Miran all over again------EEK!

I agree. Cherin is very sneaky, manipulative, and calculating. Let's all hope that she doesn't start breaking glass all over the place

Have you all noticed how Cherin has really big ears? I can't help but stare at them. She tries to hide them behind her big ol' hair, but they really are too big for her small face.

You're so right, G.C. I think that my wife noticed it too when we were watching on Saturday. I keep noticing the overdone hair and make-up too Suffice it to say that her charm is lessening with time, both in appearance and in character.

I'm with you there. In fact, the whole thing is starting to remind me of Phoenix.
I'm very disappointed. I had high hopes for the show after the first two episodes. It was refreshing to see characters in a new situation--high school--and the peek it gave us at the society of younger characters and the surprising way they unexpectedly fell in love. Now it's devolved into just the same old love triangle of: mopey heroine, decent and deserving fiance, and "bad" (highlighted hair) boy whose love is making the heroine miserable. Cherin is Miran. And it's all accompanied by the usual overflowing bounty of draggy plot, comic-relief best friend (who will probably disappear without explanation by the 15th episode), and incredibly slow walking scenes (head hanging, sad music, purse hanging sadly from the tip of her fingers).
Can't they think up something new? Why did this one take Asia by storm and not any one of the other Doomed Lover shows.
What I keep staring at is her cheeks. I think she has cheek implants. Did you all read that story someone here linked to (in another WLS thread) about the two lead women being criticized for supposedly having had plastic surgery? I think it's obvious that Yujin has had a nose job; it's just too small for her face and looks like there used to be more of it there.

I do hope it get's better. This drama actually reminds me of Love Letter. Although I enjoyed Love Letter a lot more. I think Joonsang is just too pretty for his own good, he needs to tone it down a bit IMO.

Another actress that has really big ears and who I also think has gone under the knife is Jihae, I think she must get collagen injected into her lips because they look really big. Unless they really are hers...?

Jihae from MPC? She does have sort of big lips, but isn't that sort of a Korean trait, those nice, full lips? I remember someone posting on another forum here about what's considered classically attractive (at least for a woman) in Korea, and the lips were part of it. I think the pretty lips go with their, by-and-large, nicely rounded features. At least the people on TV, that is. If you start noticing you can see thin lips are the exception rather than the rule. Remember Hyun-kyu from "One Million Roses"? Geez, his lips definitely looked collagen-enhanced to me, because they changed back and forth over time. Now, Hee-soo (MPC) is one I can think of who's on the thinner-lipped side, but still not anything like, oh, say, Kenneth ("I can barely speak out of this line of a mouth!") Branagh
