I missed last weeks episodes due to the change in times. Could someone from Philly update me on the two most recent episodes, sometime today? If so I will be most grateful .

7S, if you know the ep numbers, there is probably a wonderful recap somewhere in here.

Thanks Chigirl.
By the way my Vikes play your Bears on the final day of the regular season. I'll be thinking of you.

And on New Year's day too! We'll see where the standing are then. We're up by just 1 game right now.

Ooh -- sorry, I haven't been "on board" in a while. In Philly, we're up to the development of the turtle ship. YSS has been recognizing talent in his midst and promoting them (to the angst of the leuitenants), he's getting them Left Cholla navy in shape basically. Won Kyon is stewing in the north over his demotion. Chonsu (YSS's old friend turned con) found out Hong was a Japanese spy and is going to turn her in for $$ (of course). The king is disturbed by rumors of his son vying for the throne (which, he's not) so that's complicating Syrong's (the Bookworm -- I know I'm getting his name wrong) life. I think I got everything.

Thanks Teresa, that is very helpful to me. I should be able to catch this weeks episodes. And on New Year's day too! We'll see where the standing are then. We're up by just 1 game right now. There are some big games between now and then. Falcons v Bears should be fun this week, and the Vikes have the Steelers in Minny. On top of being up one game, the Bears have the tie breakers on the Vikings as of right now.

Teresa, I very much enjoyed the most recent episode (Friday night). The different storylines are really coming together. YSS really had to ignore everything else in his focus on the threat of Japanese invasion. He is quite an inspirational figure. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying this as much as I am! -7S

7S, the series IS getting more captivating with the gearing up for the Japanese invasion. Glad you're watching too! I like how, while authorship for the invention of the turtle ship ultimately goes to YSS, the producers have portrayed it being developed with the input of others as well (kind of reminds me of Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel -- yes, he was the "author," but he had many hands helping). I don't know on what level the drama is historically accurate on this account, but it marries well with the rising esprit de corps that YSS is fostering.... and, well, it just makes for good drama!
I'm afraid I'll suffer serious withdrawal when it's over, like our fine Chicago viewers!

Perhaps you Philly fans can revive some old threads to see your intake on things. I know all the Chicago historical fans have nothing else to do these days with no new historical drama in sight. As for me in New York, I'm not watching anything yet either because I guess I still have IYSS withdrawal. lol

The series is over in New York too, Moreshige? Have you the classic signs of YSS withdrawal: combing the KBS sites for new historical series, wearing traditional white Korean mourning clothes and long searching gazes at water with your hands behind your back?

That's good stuff Teresa. I've twice experienced those symptoms. After the finale of EWG, and AOW.

:)We are getting ready to watch episode 50 of YSS tonite. I cannot imagine that show ever ending I have been really good about reading spoilers even though I am quite tempted. I just have one question, does Yi-Youngnam appear soon? I haven"t seen him since episode 4.thanks

Your almost there when the series really kick into gear and the characters really start to shine.

We just watched the sinking Turtle Boat prototype.
What a depressing situation. I have a feeling that the next few episodes will be most excruciating to watch.
