This is off the topic, but I'm posting this on AOW because there are a lot of historical drama fans here.
Does anyone remember one from 3 or 4 ?? years ago about a concubine (am I spelling that right?) The story was told from the concubine's perspective. I believe the Emperor was played by the guy in Wife (Sang-jin/Young-Tae). The concubine was very ambitious and wanted to become Empress. I think the Emperor went crazy at the end and was exiled. I'm trying to remember who played the other characters. I think this was the first Korean Drama I'd seen.

Yoo Dong Geun (the actor who plays Sang-jin/Young tae) has worked in quite a few historical dramas but I think the one you're referring to is 'Chang Nok Soo'. Now I never actually watched 'Chang Nok Soo' but have heard and read about it so I could be wrong but based on what you said .. I think that's the one you're talking about.

[glow=orange,2,300]Moderator mode - [/glow] As far as this thread being off-topic, i'd say is is on subject, since there is usually only one historical drama on at a time. So when Age of Warriors goes off, this board will be have topics about the new drama. [glow=green,2,300]regular fan boy mode - [/glow] You guys are right -- the drama was "Chang Nok Soo", and that too was the first one i ever saw. i glanced at it when scanning through channels one day. i actually stumbled on it at the beginning, but didn't realize the schedule (i think it was Fridays & Saturdays at 11 pm) until more of the drama at passed. i was intrigued by the focus on two kids... i thought they were long lost brother & sister. It turned out that it was the future king, and the humble beginnings of his future concubine. i've been hooked ever since. I have a web page listing these dramas, starting from most recent to "Chang Nok Soo" jp.paulus.com/koreandrama.html

Since we're a bit off topic, does anyone remember 'Cho Kwang Jo'?. It aired here in Chicago, I think, back in 97. I vaguely remember it so I wanted to find out more info about that era. Does anyone know where I can get more info about Cho Kwang Jo and that era?

JP- Great website with some really good links! Reading about history is more interesting when you feel you know the "players".
