...here in L.A., they showed a program about the making of YSS, momments, and bloopers. I want to know if anyone caught that and if they know korean, what was it about.

There were not subtitles for the first special. Who knows, maybe they might subtitle it for Chicago. But for LA, at least the first one didn't have any.

maybe we better have tapes of the last few regular episodes for the party? I'm on it. I have to record tonight anyway for my bf. So I'll record ep. 104 as well.

I missed the special in L.A. out of courtesy to my long-suffering spouse (who gave up some time around episode 55) but I hope it gets subtitled for the reported DVD release.
I have no idea what I'm going to do on Saturday and Sunday nights now ...

I think you owe some quality time to that long-suffering spouse, LOL, if it's anything like at my house where too much gets swept under the rug for my "shows" -- ;D Bo

I think that's asking a LOT ... but at least it's not a 104-episode series!

Oh come on Surface is a good one. Threshold is one of the new ones I didn't get into. I'm just lucky me and my other half like most of the same shows. He even watched Love Letter (my first and only modern drama so far) with me.

Now that I tape the K-dramas, things are a little better, because I just watch them when I have a few minutes over breakfast or if I can't sleep or something. (Somehow, I manage to catch up most weeks.) But when I was just watching at home when they were 'on,' there were a few dicey moments with The Bob feeling underappreciated and unimportant. Silly boy. After the final episode... I'll no longer have a reason to live. I had the same feeling when IYSS ended in Korea 2 months ago. LOL Now I'm trying to fall for MBC's new historical drama Shindon although nobody can't replace my lovely admiral. (Some posts related to Shindon are here.)There were not subtitles for the first special. Who knows, maybe they might subtitle it for Chicago. But for LA, at least the first one didn't have any. Oh my god... I'm so sorry to hear that. Do I have to prepare a visual summary and brief translation for ep. 105? LOL ;D

We were lucky to have subtitles on the 1st special. I am glad too. The actors were funny at times. I especially liked the outtakes and the secrets of how they made some of the scenes.

I want to watch those specials...I just finished watching the last episode. Would you please translate the sentence about the deathdate of Yi Soon Shin that's in your post? Thanks! Wow, filming was really tough on the actors, wearing all those layers during a heatwave, and having to swing swords too! I'm so glad we got to see the special! YSS's 4 voices were very impressive. I hadn't particularly noticed the change except that he had become increasingly fierce and determined. The sneaky self-interested prime minister's voice aged impressively, I thought; I noticed because he had played a younger man in Winter Sonata. Sure going to miss this show!!
