Now, i'm not talking about the awful first half. I'm talking about the amazing, awesome, and whatever else you can say about this new chapter in the show! I feel like I did when KDS died in AOW. The scenes of war are what makes me mess up my schedule, so that I may view these excellent shows, 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM, on Saturdays and Sundays, on WMBC. This is just awesome. At first when I saw Mijin, I was a little pissed. You see, as cute as she was, I really wanted it to end, so that we can get to the part about the military. Then, when I saw the arrow in her back, it suddenly made me interested. Though this is something that no one agrees with, I kind of hope that she dies. For the emotional garbage, I think that it's better that she goes without knowing that Soon Shin is married, and went on with his life. And, more truthfully, I really am not interested in another soap opera moment. Also, the fact that thye are tryign to build up the emperor to be strong and likeable, is pointless, as we already saw in the first four episodes, the complete ass, that he becomes.

ID, I think you are going to get your wish. She rowed all the way from Japan with an arrow in her back (tough woman) to somewhere close to her village so that the writerrs could have her meet YSS one last time.
I liked the first half. Especially when Yoen-wha explained why she was making a home for Mijin. It was silly in a charmingly human way. I also liked what she said when she approached YSS. Finally some words from her about their future. I was looking forward to seeing how things between them would advance and then...bam...they already have to kids. No romance, no joy at their children's birth.
Also in the first half, we got a bunch of "your grace is immeasurables" including one from YSS as well as a group "deign to see, your majesty."
The writers came through and spared seeiung Mijin being raped. But even crying hysterically as she was, how stupid was it to leave that sword with her.
That ambush was weird. The Chosun are right behind and then suddenly the Jurchen are hiding under leaves. How did they have time to set up that ambush. Won Kyun is going to make things worse with the Jurchen. it could just be the editting. There were a few spots where you could tell that they made a cut because the subtitles were on screen for less than a second.

MODERATOR: Please put "episode 24 spoilers" in the thread title. Yeah, I sort've forgot what the episode was. So, I did what I could. Anyway, I believe that the Jurchen were waiting for the Chosun to come out. They planned ahead I guess. There's no way that the Chosun soldiers would not follow them, after they burned, and sacked, a whole village. I like how the directors use culture specific tactics. No Chosun soldier would ever hide in the sand like that. To this day, it is a tactic used in guerrila warfare. Only today it is more dangerous, as they have AK-47s as well.

Yes, Mr. Moderator. Me and ID kinda wrote these at the exact same time, so if it is possible to merge them, it would be greatly appreciated. About, that ambush on Kyun's troops. I guess the writers are trying to show what makes YSS a better leader. If you remember the 4th episode, YSS had everything planned. From the bite down, so that no one screams if they are shot. To waiting for their gun fire. Kyun just acted in haste and that lead to Lt. woo getting caught. Also, Kyun has some real aggresive way of dealing with things. He just started to kill the nomads out of anger. Right now things have gone in so many different directions. Just sitting tight till next week.

I doubt that they are trying to make Yi Soon Shin look better, by Won Kyun misjudging his enemy. At this point, Won Kyun has proved to be much stronger than Yi Soon Shin. He lacks compassion, but why should he show compassion for nomads who raped and slaughtered women and children? And it is wise to send their heads back, as it will lower the moral of the Jurchen. I don't think that we should have are threads merged together, since we both have different points.

All of those "Your grace is immeasurable" lines, made me laugh, a lot. Hahaha.
Wow, and Won Kyun was so menacing and forceful.
Huh, someone told me that, Mijin would be dead by episode 23, so when she lived through the end of episode 24, that really surprised me...I felt so bad for her. And for some odd reason, I don't like the fact that, Soon Shin married Yun Hwa.
The short clip of the next episode, seemed really interesting...but I won't say any more, than that.

This is the first time I'm ever watching a Korean historical drama, because they all seemed so boring, gosh. But I'm glad that I gave this show a chance, since I'm certainly enjoying it, to the point of being almost obsessed. But I'm not as knowledged as all of you...I know nothing of Korean history. Erm, yeah... Oh, hah, I didn't know that line was so commonly used in these dramas. I guess I'll be hearing of it, more often.

Age Of Warriors was an epic unmatched by anything else, in terms of action, and storyline. My knowledge of Korean History is limited to Age Of Warriors {1170-1196 AD} and I know a little about Yi Soon Shin. However, I leave it to a few good members here, whose knowledge makes me look like a complete idiot.

mijin has become my favorite female character of the 2 korean dramas i have seen. she is such a 'warrior'. this episode started badly and ended badly as far as she is concerned.....and i hope i don't find out what happened to her in between. she has endured what i do not want to imagine.
i wasn't thrilled about the time jump. but just as well not to see how yss and wife actually get to that point. the woman just has no spark, no passion. she is kind and gentle, yes, good qualities to be sure...but she seems a bit lifeless to me.
won kyun did seem a bit reckless but i had no problem with him sending the heads back to the nomads.

I agree. The YSS wife is dull. Apart from his military qualities and political fire, YSS is a perfect match for her. They both have all the passion and romantic warmth of a chemical engineering trade show. When you see them both together, and they look like they're anticipating dental work. Mijin is more fun, although in her current trauma, she could join the moan-and-groan club. They should set up a wife and imperial consort deal, don't you think? Also, this show needs more humor. I'd trade my horsehair hat for a Monkeyman Yi, right about now.

HAHAHA They should set up a wife and imperial consort deal, don't you think? That was my suggestion but no one seemed to go for it. I'd trade my horsehair hat for a Monkeyman Yi, right about now. Iwas thinking the same thing. The court scenes have been predictable. The evil eunic was boring. We need a monkey man.

Wasn't Baron Huh kind of like a Monkey Man? I mean, his voice was annoying enough, wasn't it? And what happened to the Magistrate's son who kept bitching {can I use that here?} Yi Soon Shin?

Wasn't Baron Huh kind of like a Monkey Man? I mean, his voice was annoying enough, wasn't it? Absolutely. And what happened to the Magistrate's son who kept bitching {can I use that here?} Yi Soon Shin? Magistrate's son disappears. I have no idea what happened for him. Mijin is revanged by an indirect way when minister Yoon Won-Hyung (brother of Mother queen and Mijin's enemy who had caused the death of her parents) is exiled in episode 20. I think Magistrate Song might be also punished with evil minister and his son disappear with his papa.
