Jin-soo is happy with Yeong-ji paying attention to him, but I think it's a disaster in the making. Everyone is so happy for Jin-soo, almost hoping that Yeong-ji falls in love with Jin-soo. Of course, she's being paid to be his friend, but she'll become very bored going to see Jin-soo almost every day. His dad and mom are dreaming if they think that there's going to be a romance between them. Yeong-ji is a young, very kind woman who will continue on in her life without him.
In tonight's episode, they went to the ocean to watch the seagulls. Jin-soo was thrilled just to see something that he hadn't seen before. The real tension will come when Yeong-ji doesn't want to continue this relationship as a big sister. Poor Jin-soo will suffer even more.

Dude, like, I totally agree with you. (snaps gum) Because, see, like, Jinsoo's parents weren't encouraging him to live up to his true potential. They were sooo stifling him by not reading with him. And I bet that, like, the tv shows that they watched with him weren't even that interesting. Ugh.
Ohmigod! We must be, like, long lost twins or something. I must have sounded like a ditz, but I celebrated Administrative Professionals day early...by myself no, just kidding.
Grandparents from WML: "Are my words dog's nose to you?"
Ohmigod! We must be, like, long lost twins or something....
Down in front! No twins here! Nothing to look at! Move along now!
From Dae Jang-geum: Sun-dol: "Are you trying to dry me up and kill me? Why do you say the same things over and over every day? Rather, come and hit me once! Aigu!" But then: Dr. Lazarus: "By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Warvan... You shall be avenged."
This is just too strange for me, I'm sorry. I do not wish to offend anyone but the very fact that the writers even thought to bring in this story line so close to the end of the show is in such poor taste.
Yeon-ji is a paid companion even though the idea of Jin-soo 'getting together' with her was put out there.
Without giving viewer's any other info about her other than she is a child of divorce living on her own, we are to believe that because Jin-soo fell in love at first site, she is an acceptable paid companion or Hee Soo and ESM are truly perceptive judges of character
Jin-soo has deteriorated into a babbling idiot who can only repeat her name and say she's pretty. He evidently does not function in any capacity anymore unless Yeon-ji is present. And he no longer paints, just teaches her origami and reads about birds
ESM is now starting to speak to her and about her as if she would like to have a 'daughter' just like Yeon-ji
Dumb Dad kept talking about them getting married which I think was the height of stupidity until he said one sensible thing in this drama, which was - if Yeon-ji refuses to come back what will they do with Jin-Soo (Perhaps they could hire another babysitter)
Yeon-ji has a 'back' story that will never be explored if her mother is leaving the country and daddy is now bankrupt! She is forced to stay with the Ahn family to pay her tuition fees. Perhaps they will have her move in to make for a happy ending for Jin-Soo - who will of course, eventually out grow her. But then, of course, there is no happy ending for Yeon-ji. - but this doesn't matter since she is not part of the 'Precious Family' of the title, same as Kyung-ah (Jee-Min's mom)
Am I out of my mind or what? When ESM took Jin-Soo and Yeon-ji shopping for hanbok didn't they both come out of the same dressing room, hand in hand? I re-wound it to make sure of what I thought I saw! That is too much. But the writers seem to have Yeon-ji just go with the flow.
We need to end soon and we still haven't fixed Jin-Soo so let's get him a girlfriend. Then we only need to make sure that Grandma has good home care after her relapse.
Well, let's see what happens tonight and tomorrow! And let's hope the writers do have other careers in mind.
