i really can understand the mother in law now. and why she is so evil to hee-soo. I thought the aunt made a very good point. I also think their realtionship wiill get better now. I even think jin-kook could have compassion on her.

I agree.
But if Hee-soo has to distance herself from her FIL, he's bound to get even more upset than he already is after hearing all that poison ESM has been feeding him.
On the other hand, if ESM warms up to Hee-soo, she'll stop telling her husband all those terrible things.

yupyup. i think that sung-ae (that's hee-soo's aunt's name right?) is one smart lady. it makes a lot of sense that she's the breadwinner of the family. anyways, a lot of what she said makes a lot of sense. but i still gotta hate ESM. almost zero sympathy for her.
on a sidenote: is it me or does it seem that the series is about the end soon?since everything seems to be on its way to being resolved, except for jee-min's birth mother coming back and the possibility of grandma's illness ... i wonder what news the doctor has for hee-soo in the teaser. and it looks like they fastforward a bit in time in the series cuz hee-soo's stomach looked pretty big in the teaser...

Okay, this is complete conjecture, but based on my highly unlikely guessing, Heesoo is having multiples, possibly triplets. I only say this because the doc said "san" something in the preview and, among many other things, that could mean three (though I think I pulled that out of nowhere to support my theory). Also, because she's so freaking huge, though that's possibly a daydream of what will happen.
ESM is at the doc's office with her when the doc says that, though, did anyone notice that? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me again.

yeah i noticed that ESM was there, too. i wonder how she got to go with hee-soo b/c as hee-soo mentioned earlier, ESM never asks to go to the OB with her. maybe hee-soo's aunt got thru to hee-soo and she's not so angry anymore

maybe hee-soo's aunt got thru to hee-soo and she's not so angry anymore I think so to because when HS and JK arrived back at home, HS offered to take the tray that ESM was holding into the kitchen for her. After hearing what Sung-ae told HS about ESM, I kind of feel a little bad for ESM. She is indeed jealous of HS's relationship with DD, which is why she is trying to get DD against HS. But I don't think ESM manipulations make her a better person. I would really give her all my sympathy if she wasn't so manipulative and scheming.

I think Hee-Soo's aunt made some very good points about HS's MIL not knowing love. She lost both her parents in an accident when she was 16, her wheel-chair bound brother, wounded in the accident, has died, and, above all, her son, Jin-Soo is retarded. Sung-Ae, HS's aunt, has the knowledge of dealing with difficult situations.
However, many people have a rough start in life, but the bitterness they harbor doesn't make it any easier for those who didn't know them years ago. ESM is spreading her own unhappiness to others which certainly doesn't make her a lovable, endearing figure. Others are confused and upset by her nasty attitude, so she will continue on in her own miserable state.
Hee-Soo is really a warm, compassionate person. If her MIL would honestly share with HS about the miserable times in her life, HS would bend over backwards, so to speak, to understand her.
If HS's in-laws were smart, they'd cozy up to her, treat her well during her pregnancy, make plans for the twins that HS is going to have. In this way, they'd be assured that Jin-Soo too will have a home with people who care for him when they're no longer able to do so.
