There might be an obvious answer to this, but I was wondering on one episode when she had an argument with jiwoongs mom, she was told she didnt know how to talk right, and in another show her new mother-in-law was lamenting to her husband about how junghee was nice and all, but wished she spoke more eloquently. Im assuming that this is something cultural or has to do with junghee's quiet personality. Anyway this is a pretty cool site, from browsing through the messages you guys make alot of good points about all the dramas.

Jung-Hee must be confused by this entire family situation because she's new to it. Just a few months ago, she became a boarder in the home. She finds the possibility of a family with Eun-Soo and Ji-Woong, but is side-tracked, into some nasty business, when Young-lan returns.
I think Jung-Hee is confused, still not sure if Eun-Soo and Young-lan will re-unite. Mother is crying over making that porridge which means that Young-lan should leave. Jung-Hee is eloquent in the sense that she stands by Eun-Soo while he still is indecisive about his marital state.

Hey vidar, welcome. Glad you like the site (we love it too) and hope to see you again.
I wouldn't know about the cultural aspects of why Junghee might be not so eloquent. But it seems to me like it's not all that surprising - if she had a psychotic break and hasn't really healed I would expect it to happen. Also, it seems like it was most likely psychological from the accident since, as she stated, she was getting better since she'd started seeing Eunsoo, and, more importantly, Jiwoong.
However, I wonder how she could've gotten a job as an escort if she was so uneloquent? I would think that the "high-class" boys she was paid to date (or they paid her to show her off to their friends, etc.) would definitely want a girl who was eloquent and who knew to talk about the things that are important to that stratum of society.

i read somewhere ( cant remember where) that in south korea the people from the city and the country have different accents and that the people from the city sort of looks down on the people from the country. since junghee is from the country i was wondering if this can be the reason eun-soo mom complains about junghee's eloquence.
but note that junghee's family is kinda rich, so i dont know what part that plays....

Does Alanna post in this forum, or Florel? They could tell us. I can't remember who else might be a native speaker, I know there are many.
