Then again it was because Younglan showed that she was useful (more so than the guys in that family) and Younglan *did* throw it back in her face with that parting comment, but they're starting to get along! But I think Junghee hit the nail on the head when she said that the mom is only nice when you are doing something for her. This spells DOOM for Junghee. More like salvation from having to live w/a crazy MIL and a loser husband.

You know, I had a different take on that. I thought Young-lan seemed more hurt this time than anything. She was a little snotty about it, but to me it sounded like her repeating of the word "useless," as in, "I'm not totally useless," was a way of sticking up for herself against Hee-soo-mom rather than sticking it to her.

Hee-soo's mom should have just said, "Thanks for helping with the kimchi...I couldn't have done it without you" without the "You're not as useless as I thought" or was it "you're useful afterall" part. I mean, what does Hee-soo's mom expect from Young-lan?! Does she really think that Young-lan would just say, "Dey, amunee" nicely? No way! I was proud when Young-lan said, "I'm not totally useless" to Hee-soo's mom as a way of "In your face, amunee" Korean style ;D!

i really think that hee-soo with going through the problems shes going through with her mil lost respect for her own mother. its like she looks back and recognized the horrible way jungae treated younglan. its so hipocritcal that jungae can sit and cry "oh my poor poor baby, how dare they treat hee-soo like that" well what about the way you treated younglan? she's someones daughter, she's jiwoongs mom, but she never got any respect.
and what makes things bad is that jungae KNOWS that she's wrong. the woman cried when younglan left, she's having bad dreams, her pride is keeping her from apologizing but she really needs to atleast except what she's done so she can be of some help to hee soo.

looks like jung-ae finally got it~! from the flashbacks that she got of hee-soo and then of young-lan, i think she's finally realized her mistake and learned her lesson, but too bad, it seems like its too little too late. maybe when young-lan comes back it'll be much better for them... and who knows.. there may be hope yet for those who are rooting for eun-soo and young-lan to get back together... ;D

While I'm totally mad that Heesoo's being treated like that, I was happy that Jungae thinks that HS is being treated like that because of the way she treated YL. I mean, she should at least feel guilty about it if her family's going to let her get away with it (even though her husband did give her a bit of a talking to).
But what's she going to do about it anyway? Contact Younglan and tell her to come back and marry Eunsoo? Apologize to her but still say that she can't come back? Neither of those seem likely so I assume she'll get over it and get back to being self-righteous soon enough.

LOL. true. it's highly unlikely that jung-ae will apologize or admit to being wrong. although she did come close to it when she was asking her husband if he thought she treated young-lan horribly. but anyways, jungae doesn't seem like the type of person to apologize to a person she's done wrong...

Yeah, Jung-ae is really hyprocritical! She's getting mad at ESM for the terrible way she treats Hee-soo, and it's a good thing that she is realizing that she herself has treated Young-lan just as bad, if not worse.

I loved that daydream she had at the en of tonight's ep. Hee-soo is doted on by Jin-kook and ESM, Eun-soo is a CEO whose mother is more important than business, Jung-sik sells the property and gives her the money, and her sister is clueless in the kitchen. And through it all, Jung-ae is stylish and well-respected. It reminded me of a fantasy Homer Simpson once had: "President Declares World Peace" . . . "President Simpson Declares World Peace" . . . "President Simpson Wins Super Bowl"

Yes, I loved the day dreams that Jung-ae had to! It was quite funny. Especially the part where it was her sister who was doing the housework. I wish there was a day dream that Jung-ae had about Eun-soo's married life....if it was with Jung-hee. I would have liked to see how that worked out. LOL...the day dream of JK, HS, and ESM was great! ESM was kind of like Jee-hae's MIL...very loving and caring. It was a side of ESM I've never seen before. I wonder if later in the series, ESM will change her ways and be like that for real?

I laughed out loud at mom's fantasy for Eun-soo. Of course he comes out in a suit and is the head of his own company (still living at home, BTW, and prioritizing a mundane convo with his mother over a business call ). I kept thinking how much fun the actors probably had doing those little fantasy scenes.

why couldn't she just let young-lan be the mother instead of trying to dominate everything in tonight's episode. she's ji-woong's granny, but not his mother. it just pissed me off. "if you don't want him to eat, leave." what is that?! she has no morals.
