im a little confused so was hee-soo tryna have a miscarriage on purpose or something? when i watched the scene where she tell's jin-kook about the baby the translation said that she slept on the couch as some type of abortion procedure and jin kook replied "not with my baby" or something like that.

Can't help you, panther--I missed most of yesterday's episode, the one right after the one that ended with Hee-soo going to Jin-kook's office to say she was pregnant. Anyone else care to explain?

I don't remember that from the episode - are you watching it somewhere else (where you might have a different translator)? When she told him about the baby, she asked what she should do if a father isn't ready, he looked shocked but then kinda cute and happy. When he asked her what curettage was (she had mentioned that she might go and get it in the previous episode when they were in bed together and she was angry at him), she replied that it was a type of abortion procedure and he told her something along the lines of not with my baby. I think that you might be mistaking curettage for couch, maybe?

what was actually said that was translated differently here was "DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT SOFA SURGERY IS" this is a more literal translation of what was said. sofa surgery is of course a euphemism for an abortion.

oh okay...i knew she was hinting at the idea of an abortion which suprised me seeing how ultra conservative k-dramas are.

SOFA surgery? So I guess this is kinda like we use coathanger abortion or back-alley abortion (except most of our terms still include the a-word). That's hilarious.
Hey, did anyone know that I once had ottoman surgery? And, wait, I had my floor tiles removed. But that was only because I had to have my carpet replaced, and while the docs were in there, they saw the tiles and out they came. Okay, bad joke time is over.

Weird and funny, hachi! ;D I myself once had a couple of squares of linoleum replaced, but the surgeon said it wouldn't affect my ability to redecorate in the future.

Whoa, WHOA! Sorry, Hach. Retract them claws! I saw the cute icon and thought that it was Jenny.
Humble apologies. It is undubitably YOU who are the weird and funny one. I'm going back to edit my post and thus confuse everyone who reads this exchange later.

Hee-soo also said that she agonized over her decision. Yeah, she had considered an abortion because he had said before that he was "not ready to be a father" and also he showed no interest when she spoke of having a currettage while they were talking in bed (and she assumed he understood what she meant by that was abortion). And even if he had no idea what the procedure was for, he should have shown interest in ANY procedure she was about to have done, whether it be dental, skin, uterine, or whatever, right? The boy is sexy when he smiles, though...I gotta admit it.

lol...jin kook is soft on the eyes but why was hee-soo so secretive about the whole pregnancy thing? i mean she should have just came right out and said she was pregnant when she found out. it would have been crazy if she had went ahead and got a abortion out of spite and what she "think" jin kook wants. the only reason why jin kook said he didint want to have a baby right now was because his family was going through a crisis. who would want to have a baby after you go broke? im just glad hee-soo had the common sence to tell him she was pregnant before she did something she would have regreted

Just to clarify things, I just checked with my biggest Korean-English dictionary (2,700 very thin pages!), the opening scene of ep. 104, particularly the word "sop'a".
"Sop'a" has several meanings: 'Sofa', 'Slight damage', and 'Curettage'.
