if a person can say they can kill themselves and others with a smile on their face this means that person is crazy.
i knew that she was crazy in the way she kept saying "if i lose jiwoong i wouldent know what to do" notice she said jiwoong, she didint even mention eun-soo. its okay that eun-soo dont love junghee because she definantly dont love him. she's in it for the kid, as a matter of fact if she could get the kid without marriage believe me she would have done it.
i dont really think jin kook would leave hee-soo for younglan. i mean he is definantly attracted to her (did u notice their flirting at dinner?) but younglan is too independant for him, that relationship would crash and burn. if it was american soaps though thoes two would have probably hit the sack behind hee-soo's back!

Soju, I hate to bring problems here, but we'll be paying $475 a month for COBRA which is not terribly expensive, but it will take a huge chunk out of my salary. I know people who are paying almost $1,000 a month for health insurance. My husband, almost 58, has been a Union Roofer since 1965. Since 2002, his finding work and hours, through the Union, has just been horrible. Since he didn't meet the 900 hours required in 2004, he only worked about 630 hours, we'll have to pay COBRA. If he wants to retire, at age 59 with full benefits, he'll have to work at least 800 hours the year before. It seems the Union is doing everything they can to prevent this until he can fully retire at age 62, and also will keep him from working to get health insurance for the next 4 years. Early retirement carries a reduced pension, and a very low-paying health insurance policy, yet many Union Roofers are opting for this because they can't afford COBRA when they're not working. So much for the Union Brotherhood!
What we're experiencing, here in America, makes me wonder how Jae-Hae can afford surgery. Since they sold their store, aren't working, how can they pay for this?
Sometimes I tape the episodes, but it cuts off a few minutes before the end because of commercials. I don't like the Ex because she's an ambitious woman who wants to be the center of attention regardless of who suffers. Hee-Soo is ambitious in the sense that she helps to repair relationships whereas the Ex wants to destroy them. I just wish that Hee-Soo's mother would let her children live life as they are trying to do without her interference. However, some of us are seeing different cultures clashing.

My parents are one. My father was terminated from his position one month almost to the day after he turned 60 this year. They are having to pay $1200 a month for COBRA...plus it went up another $60 for next year...that's almost $1300 a month for someone who doesn't even had a job yet (he had a severance package). I won't go into more detail, but I'm sure you can imagine how "easy" it is for a 60+ year old to find a retail upper management position.
In watching Korean dramas, we need to remember their health care system is NOT like ours in America. As I wrote before, it's MUCH more affordable there.
Seven years ago it was $5 or $10 for an office visit at the local hospital- so we never had qualms about going to the doctor. Plus, I remember I could get 5 or 6 months of BCPs for REALLY cheap - I think for the same cost of one month here.

I had seen in other dramas where people have paid their entire hospital bills right after being released. I was amazed by Yellow Handkerchief where, after giving birth, Ja-young walked right up to a desk with her little wallet and paid her bill. That amused me, because at the time my parents were both in the hospital (for the kidney transplant) and I could NOT picture myself walking up to Accounts Receivable with my wallet and asking for the bill! Very interesting!

x, I'm so sorry to hear that your parents are paying so much for COBRA, and that your father was terminated when he turned 60. It's insane! How can people, who have no jobs through no fault of their own, pay such high premiums? How will they manage to pay all the other bills? Deplete their savings? It's so frightening. This isn't the American Dream that this administration keeps bragging about.
Health care in Korea seems to let everyone receive treatment, and no one has to go into bankruptcy just to pay medical bills.
Wishing all of you a happy, healthy New Year!
