I wish I knew! YesAsia.com does sell the DVDs of the show, but without English subtitles. Hopefully, they'll subtitle it in the near future, but I guess it depends on how much interest is shown in having it done.

Just got info from koreandvdmovies.com will soon have available English subtitles to "Firebird". Just e-mail them to get price quote. They are going to add to their list.

That's great to hear! Thanks, Chibi! Our tapes off of channel 28 are only fair quality, because their signal was much weaker last summer. Also, we're missing a couple of important episodes.

Just discovered an error in noting the region code for the "Firebird" dvd order. I e-mailed to inquire whether it will be compatible for the USA. Otherwise I may have to return it. Please be aware everyone about that region code.

Received e-mail from them promptly. The region code for "Firebird" is ALL, so it is fine for USA.

Received e-mail from them promptly. The region code for "Firebird" is ALL, so it is fine for USA. I hope it is compatible for the USA. I started ordering it last week, and noticed that the ad said it was for region 3 (which is Asia), so I didn't go any further. My wife and I would really like a good DVD set of this series.

This is the e-mail I received from dvdfromkorea.com: "I checked your ordered item and found that the region code of "Firebird-TV Series (9Disc) English Subtitled is "All (Rgeion 0)". So you will be able to watch this DVD with any region coded DVD player."

MisterBill45, just received the "Firebird" set today. Very satisfied with quick service. As they replied, should be compatible with US dvd players. So far okay including the subtitles. I thought the cover, etc. would be printed in English, but only in Korean. The main thing is the subtitles for the program. It looks great. Got it for my friend so she will be thrilled. The photos are outstanding. Now she wants me to order the "Winter Love Song" from them which also includes the cd.

smji, I just ordered the Firebird DVD set, and they did change the ad to note that the DVDs are compatible for all regions. How long did it take for you to receive yours? It sounds like you got them fairly quickly, so I'm looking forward to getting them in the next 10 days or so. Our collection is really growing now ... we have Love Letter, All About Eve (which we still have to watch when we have time!), and Winter Love Song. I also pre-ordered my wife volume 1 of Dae Jang Geum for her birthday, as it's one of her favorites. We really got interested in these shows on channel 28 about two years ago, when we had just moved into our home and were looking for something to watch on our little set in the kitchen before getting our satellite hookup. It really changed our viewing habits for the better!

MisterBill45, It was my first time ordering any of the Korean dvd's, but I was impressed. I got it about 1 week after ordering it. I was also impressed how quickly they responded from Korea to my questions. I am loaning it to my daughter so we will know how she enjoyed it. As I stated earlier, what I saw at the beginning was perfect: the picture, music, subtitles. The "Phoenix" is my friend's most favorite so that it why she wanted me to order it for her, and she doesn't even have a dvd player! She just loved that Will, even though she is married.
