Did I miss the part where she dropped her plan to steal Eric? Implausible though it may seem, I'm beginning to understand this character, even to feel sorry for her. It interests me that she is playing the part of the dissatisfied younger brother--you know, the brooding, inarticulate one who drinks and gets into trouble with the mob and makes his mother cry every night (see On the Green Prairie, for instance). When she asked Ji-eun to send her away to study because she hated being in Korea (i.e., her life there), it just about broke my heart. She's mad at Ji-eun for taking her life away, but really, her parents were at fault for shifting her into the background and making her into the plain sister who was never good enough. I can see things from her point of view.

Hey Bo!
I don't think that you missed anything concerning Ji-eun's sister. I think that after Eric rejected her and her mother told her of her intentions to get the two to marry, she gave up on the idea of stealing Eric and figured she'd roll with the punches and see what she could get out of the deal. I agree that it is her parents fault for always spoiling Ji-eun and acting as if she never existed for the way she is acting now. I think that's the reason that she goes out and gets drunk and possibly why she wants to be come a model. She figures that negative attention is better than none at all and if she becomes a model her mother must recognize her and be proud of her.

How different she is from sweet little Ji-hae. We hardly ever get to see her dimples in Phoenix.

How different she is from sweet little Ji-hae. We hardly ever get to see her dimples in Phoenix. not only is she different from ji hae, but it's so strange seeing her as the depressed girl from pheonix after seeing her as the cute little daddy's girl from MPC ^^ the two characters she plays are so different!

Now that she's been hired to make Bok-ja jealous, she is starting to act more like Ji-hae--giggly, smiley, and lovey-dovey. Although I do think that Ji-hae is sort of cute when she acts like that. Lucy

My new super theory:
The little plot to make Bok-ja jealous will develop into an actual romance! And then Bok-ja will start dating the lawyer (who is a much better match).
This will hold for maybe an episode, though I am rather proud of myself, because I do like her a lot more when she's smiley like Ji-hae (and want her to stay that way, so Ji-eun should elope with Eric already).
